What a gorgeous month! Weather has started to change (yay for jumpers and jeans!!), Threshing Day was released, evenings are getting cosier and darker, Threshing Day was released, went for lots of lovely walks, Threshing Day was released… you guys get it! 🫶🏻🐉✨

Finished CC - of course it was a 5⭐️ rating for the whole series!

Ticked another M L Rio off the list - didn’t find it as exciting as We Were Villains but still worth reading! I’ve just ordered Hot Wax so will see how that compares too!

Popped my Cowboy Romance cherry - YEEHAW!

Belladonna was another good read - did think it was a bit too slower paced at points but still enjoyed overall!

Oh Threshing Day you were truly wonderful 🙂‍↕️🐉✨

Loved going back to Basgiath and reading all the different character POVs - it’s of COURSE a 5⭐️ from me!!

Liam and Ridoc were my faves 🩶

The best day out exploring Walmer Castle with my love - the gardens were beyond magical! 🌷🪷🌻

So many wholesome moments this month - beyond privileged and grateful for this little life of mine 🫶🏻✨

Let’s hear it for the cowboy romances 🙂‍↕️🤍✨

Well this was a spicy little read! This is the first time I’ve indulged in a cowboy romance and I can see why there’s so much hype 😍 will definitely be continuing with this series! 🫶🏻✨

Yesss I was getting a little hot and bothered (Cash the man you are woweeee!) but I really liked the characters and how sweet and heartfelt the story was 🫶🏻 literally made me wanna jump on a plane to Texas and start riding around a ranch on horseback 🐴🤍✨

Solid 3.5⭐️ read 🙌🏻✨

✨🌙 🌃 Crescent City 🌃🌙✨

I have a confession - I put off reading this series for so long because I had some real pessimistic preconceptions about it! I listened to neggy chatter and assumed the series wouldn’t be for me because I saw a lot of ‘this isn’t as good as ACOTAR / TOG’ and ‘this was disappointing compared to SJM’s other work’… well in the words of the grinch…WRONGO! 😂👀

I cannot begin to tell you how much I ADORED this series!! And if you’re feeling something similar and you’ve been ooh-ing and aah-ing over picking it up - PLEASE PICK IT UP!! I’ll give you some *spoiler free* reasons why…

✨ Insane word building
✨ Unmatched friendships AND romantic relationships
✨ Mind blowing plot twists
✨ CLASSIC SJM ‘last 100 page’ antics
✨ Incredible character development
✨ Unrelenting emotional turmoil - you will laugh/cry/scream throughout

Absolutely a 5 ⭐️ series - A MUST READ BEFORE ACOTAR 6!!! That is all I will say without giving away important details! The blinder you go into this series the better imo 🫶🏻🌙🌃✨

Once again SJM has created a world and characters that will live rent free in my heart mind and SOUL! 😭🫶🏻✨

I’m gonna get through some other reads on my TBR and then yesssss I’m definitely rereading ACOTAR - fully committing to the cause 🙌🏻🙂‍↕️✨

Just finished HOSAB…what the HEL 😭 honestly one of the best endings SJM has written in my opinion 👀

Immediately reaching for HOFAS because I neeeeed to know what happens! If you haven’t read this series I beg you to pick it up it’s INSANE 💭✨

September Reading List 💫☕️🔮🪩📖🧡

Anyone else so excited that the BER months are finally here?! 🧡 Fully planning on living my best cosy autumnal life and of course that means I need a cosy reading list! Some of these have been on my TBR forever so I’m excited to be finally getting round to reading them! 🧡

This stack may see me into October as well, depends how quickly I get through Crescent City 🌃👀✨ but so far I’m looooving the series! Still deciding on whether I’ll do a full ACOTAR reread as well…we’ll see! 🫶🏻💭📖

Also how pretty is this edition of Rewitched - those edges are stunning 🐈🌕🍁✨

August Reads 📖💭✨

August was probably one of my fave reading months of the year so far! 🫶🏻📖

✨ Managed to tick off 3 of the romances that have been on my TBR foreverrrrr (they were all amazing ESPECIALLY Just for the Summer - what a book!!)

✨ I read / reviewed my second ARC - such an honour! (Collision Course is out now btw!!)

✨ Finally got my little mitts on Daybreak and went back to Sorrowsong with Alex and Ophelia 🫶🏻

✨ Returned to the Maasverse and started my CC journey - already finished Earth and Blood OH MY GOD I have no words other than OBSESSED 👀🥲

(Disclaimer was kinda grossed out by Boy Parts and didn’t vibe with it much at all but that’s ok! I’m sure it’s someone’s cup of tea - just wasn’t mine!)

Hope everyone had an ab fab August - can’t wait to see what September brings! 🍁🫧✨

Ps of course I had to pick August as the song - cliché but NECESSARY okayyyyy!! 👀🫶🏻✨

I’m obsessed with this book guys!! Bryce is such a badass - SJM writes the best female characters hands downnnnnn! 🙌🏻

Was not prepared for complete emotional damage 5 chapters in but more fool me…I should have known! 👀😭

I know there’s a few of you also reading this for the first time - how is everyone coping?! Are you also obsessed?? Please tell me I’m not the only one! 🙊🌙✨
