Been a while since I've posted to my personal account. Made it out camping this weekend and figured it was time for some images. Visited some old favorite locations and found some sweet new camp sites in the process. I also got the Defender stuck worse than I ever have before while searching for a new hot spring.

Finally got enough miles on the new motor so I could take it for it's maiden trail run and we managed to cover some really fun and challenging trails. Also managed to dent a sill and bend a track bar but overall the engine did well and we were able to bend the track bar back and drive home and it happened towards the end of the day so we didn't have to cut the day short. Time to buy sliders and an HD track bar.

Had to pull the intake manifold and make some adjustments. Got it back together. With any luck will have it on the road tomorrow 🤞 by @thoughtful_rover

Finally was able to do some traveling a few weeks back. Remote. Sort of exotic. Lots of wildlife.

Love this oil filter packaging. Forgot all about it. I think I took this photo out at @countyrove last year anyway we'll return to some engine swap updates soon ;) by @thoughtful_rover

Step one done. Thanks @ranf5 and @twosevenstev for making this easy. Got a few more prep items to do before putting the 4.6 in. Can't wait to finish this thing!

FIIIINAAAAALYYYY!!! Been waiting on this little crate for literally six months. Now the hard part begins, wedging this thing into the 110. It's also nice to be able to make good use of the forklift.

Good times last weekend! Epic camp sites, fun water crossings, and a little mud. Looking forward to more trips this year... though I wouldn't mind it being a bit warmer. by @thoughtful_rover
