There’s something so rewarding about getting instant results from hard work. I polished our silverware, and watching that tarnish fade away was so satisfying 🫠 by @thoughtfullyflawed

One year ago I had what I thought was my happiest first day of school since the beginning of my career as I walked through the doors of Logan Elm MS/HS for the first time as the new high school art teacher. I was wrong. Yesterday and today were the happiest first days of school as our children became official Logan Elm Braves today. Finn and Kora both said “I LOVE Logan Elm!” when I asked how their first day of school went. Archie didn’t even give me a chance to ask before telling me “Today was the best stinking first day of school ever”. Oh my heart 🥹 Thank you Logan Elm Local School District staff and families for welcoming our children with open loving arms and helping them start the school year off with smiles 🫶 by @thoughtfullyflawed

Yesterday was a fun filled day- just two art teachers creating art together at Jack Pine Studio for the Sidewalk Chalk Competition during the Open House this weekend. Be sure and stop by to see all the designs and vote for your favorite- the winner gets $200 👍😎👍 There will be tons of activities for kids too- facepainting, making glass bubbles, making bumblebee stations…it’s gonna be a blast! taken in Jack Pine Studio by @thoughtfullyflawed

Better late than never, right? I know I promised an update yesterday but didn’t want to post until I had half the face more detailed so that you all could see what I was talking about in regards to the flatness. So now if you look at the right side, there is much more depth than the left. Especially in the mouth and eyes. #documentationofprocess by @thoughtfullyflawed

Finally finished with the hair 🥳 but not with the portrait. Today is tweaking day- darker shadows, lighter highlights. My actual face is looking a bit flat and grayed out right now- time to glow it up! Stay tuned for another progress update later today 🎨😎👍 by @thoughtfullyflawed

This is the beaming smile of a baseball obsessed kid that’s super excited about his new custom “baseball drip” helmet for tournament week. Such a fun little project and it turned out pretty good! Finn picked red and white for the colors so he could use it at Logan Elm next season too- which makes me so happy to hear his excitment about being a Brave!
