Towards the end of last year, the Lord impressed on my heart the need to finish strong and as this year begins, I want to encourage you to remain strong. Strong in faith, strong in your pursuit of Him, strong in service to Him.

The Lord has a great work for us to do. Times are getting darker but it only means that our light as the Church (global body) is shining brighter. The world is desperate for a sign of hope, desperate for truth amidst corruption, disappointment and heartache and we are their answered prayer.

The race the Lord has set before you is particular to you. Psalm 139:16 says that He laid out our days before us. Only you know what He has asked of you. I always say this but there are destinies, lives on the other side of your obedience.

What the Lord is asking of you is not beyond your capability in Him. He has equipped you with all that you need to fulfil the call and the destiny He has predestined for you. The pressure is off. As you behold Him, looking to Jesus with your gaze transfixed on His face, the work will flow. You will begin to operate from another level (Matthew 6:33). These things are not only physical things but also the wisdom, strength, guidance needed to fulfil all that He has called you to.

The Lord is worthy of our whole yes. When we get to the end of our walk and we are face to face with Him may the only thing we say be, ‘I have glorified you on the earth, I have completed the work you have set for me to do’ (John 17:4 NKJV).

And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang: “Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Our God is a glorious King, seated in majesty on high!

He is our Father, loving friend, our counsellor, the One who walks with us continually and He is also the King of Glory.

He is awesome and worthy! All praise and honour belongs to Him. Every breath that we breathe, every song that we sing, it all belongs to Him.

I love the bridge of this song:

I lift my hands up, lay my whole life down
My whole life down before You

I lift my hands up, lay my whole life down
My whole life now is for You

He is so, SO, worthy of our complete yes. Even in the face of adversity, even when it means swimming against the tide and stepping out of the mould. When we step out of the boat and onto the water, He is there with us. He doesn’t leave us alone.

Let’s make a vow to the Lord afresh, committing ourselves to Him and His service again. Withholding absolutely nothing from Him. Where He can ask us of anything and we give it freely to Him.🙇‍♀️🧎‍♀️👑🤍

What the Lord requires of us is our heart. He wants first place, to be our all in all.

When we offer our lives to Him, laying our lives on the altar ready to receive more of Him, we avail ourselves to become gateways of His presence. He is that more desirable thing, worth more than anything and everything else combined.

The beautiful thing about all of this is that He is in the business of responding to worship, true faith and trust in Him to be able to do big and great things with the little we have. When we bring something to Him, we are indicating that we desire nearness.

It is in Him that we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28), worship is what we do. Worshippers receive the best, they access today what is reserved for tomorrow. Worshippers always get favour, they get access to things reserved for a later time. If you’re found as a worshipper He will lavish favour and blessings upon you.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Thanksgiving is so powerful!

This song starts by saying
‘You woke me up this morning
Yes, my cup is overflowing
You have blessed me and I know it
So I owe You my praise’

We know that every good and perfect gift we have is from the Father of lights (James 1:17) so the only right response is thanksgiving!

As we meditate on His goodness, thanking Him for all that He does and what He has done for us, not only does He get the praise He deserves but our hearts and minds will be guarded by His perfect peace which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7)

What we meditate on and confess literally shapes the world we live in and the life we live. Life and death lies in the power of our tongue and as we partner with and declare the Word of God over ourselves and our situations things start to change. (Proverbs 18:21) 🤍

He has done great things.

There are seasons in our life where we have to determine that we are going to praise the Lord. On the mountaintop and in the valley low, we are to bless the Lord at all times and meditate on His goodness and faithfulness.

I love Psalm 36:4. Even if you haven’t seen Him move in a while and your situation seems stagnant, the Lord is indeed working on your behalf. Remind yourself of what He has already brought you through! If He did it before He will do it again!

He is a wonder working God. Able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20)

As we seek Him wholeheartedly we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). He hears the cries of His children and is faithful to answer. Just put your trust in Him and take Him at His word!

This song has been ringing in my spirit for the past few weeks and I can’t move past it.

What the Lord requires of us is our heart. He wants first place, to be our all in all. We see stories of worship throughout the Bible highlighting the kind of worship that moves the heart of God.

It’s not about the amount, or even the seeming quality of the offering, but it’s always about the heart posture.

When Mary brought her alabaster box and broke it at Jesus’ feet. It wasn’t the cost of the oil that moved Jesus’ heart in that moment. Although it was very costly, equivalent to about one year’s worth of wages. It was the fact that she was willing to spend it all at His feet. To lay it down as a sacrifice to Him. (John 12:1-8)

He is worth everything we could give and still worth even more than that!

The pre-chorus always touches me:

‘I’ll bring You more than a song,
For a song in itself is not what You have required’

You see, God doesn’t require the song, He wants our hearts. To be the King of our hearts. To reign supreme in and over our lives.

‘You search much deeper within,
Through the way things appear.
You’re looking into my heart’

The Lord can and will do wonders with a laid down life, He will take you to places, transform you in ways that you could have never dreamed.

Let’s come back to the heart of worship, offering our lives to Him daily as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1). Eyes fixed on His beautiful face, rooted and grounded in His perfect love for us (Ephesians 3:17-19). Where nothing else matters and nothing else could ever do.🧎‍♀️🤍

We are victorious in and through Jesus (Romans 8:37). There isn’t anything He hasn’t already accomplished for you (John 16:33). Healing, health, wealth, deliverance, wholeness was purchased for you at the cross.

With His final breath, Jesus declared “it is finished”. When He said that, He was declaring an end to the power of sin, death, hell, the grave and everything else (Colossians 2:15). Jesus has accomplished it all, completely. Once and for all. (Hebrews 1:3)

You are victorious in Him and His finished work. Rest in His great and perfect love for you today. That’s where your victory lies, in your identity and understanding who you are in Christ. Your victory isn’t dependent on you doing more but on Him and all that He has done for you. As you receive His love you begin to walk true victory, as a recipient, an heir.

“having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This Good Friday I want to invite you to take a moment to reflect on the incredible price that was paid at Calvary for you and I.

We didn’t deserve it, yet He freely gave Himself up for us. The Father’s great gift to us, He bankrupted heaven that we might be reconciled to Him through His precious Son. (Romans 8:32,

What an incredible redemption? That the Lord would step out of eternity to dwell in this temporal realm. Not only to live an incredibly exemplary life for us to follow. A life crowned with perfect love, humility, grace, kindness, patience, obedience and wisdom every step of the way.

But that He lived and died for us. That He would take our place on that cross. Bearing all of our sin and shame, taking on the wrath and judgment that was awaiting us. Tearing the veil which was His flesh so that you and I can now stand as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, that we can boldly enter into the Holy of Holies. (Hebrews 10:19) Having taken us from enmity with God into adoption into His household. (Romans 8:15, Ephesians 1:5, 1 John 3:1)

We who were once far away have now been brought near by the blood. (Ephesians 2:13)

This day, we commemorate the day two millennia ago that Jesus laid down His life so that in Him we might find life and life eternal. The day that our Father gave up His one and only begotten Son for you and for me. (John 3:16)

And because of that great sacrifice you and I stand blameless before the throne. As full fledged children of God, in His victory over death hell and the grave!🙌🤍

To know Him and know Him more. Is there anything sweeter or better?

The psalmist gives such a beautiful description here, what an amazing privilege and covering to abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

And, what does a shadow do? It protects, it covers, it shields. That’s who our God is. The One who covers us, the One who shields us from all harm.

There is a safety with God that is found nowhere else. I heard a man of God give it this name, he referred to it as a nook. His choice of words interested me and really spoke to me. Thinking of it as a small crawl space, away from everyone and everywhere else. A place cut off to most people. An alcove, an enclosed space made for no more than two. A place made for you and the One who made you. The One who knew you before the foundations of the world was made. The One who chose you to be His before you were in your mother’s womb. The One who formed you in utter seclusion in the womb. The One who is intimately involved in your everyday life. The one who breathes His breath of life in your lungs daily. The One who is madly in love with you. The One who fully accepts you. The One who will never leave you nor forsake you.

That place of intimacy is where you are protected, it’s where you are covered. It’s where we are supposed to live from. You weren’t built to weather the storms of life alone. In fact, you weren’t made to weather them at all. Jesus took it all on the cross for us. He paid the ultimate price, overcoming the world and everything in it on our behalf! (John 16:33).

Sit back and relax, as children of God we are so blessed. The battle has been won on our behalf!🙌

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Lord cares for you. I know it’s something we’re familiar with hearing but it is true. It will never stop being true. He is so meticulously involved with your everyday life. He watches over you and calls us to come to Him in our weakness and brokenness.

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Lord hears your cries and is faithful to answer. He is not afraid of your tears, in fact He invites us to bear our souls to Him, inviting Him into every area of our lives. He is the One who wipes all our tears away, the One who gives us beauty for ashes (Isaiah 61:3).

Lay it all down at the altar. Every worry, every care. Every victory, every loss. He is the One who is able to turn your mess into a message, your test into a testimony.

He is closer than the very air that you breathe, you were not made to weather the storms of life alone. You were not made to weather them at all.

When we look at Him and behold Him rightly, all fear and worry is eradicated. He won the victory for you, sit at His feet and rest in His presence.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There are some times in our lives where we do not have words to articulate what is going on in our hearts. There are seasons and situations where you cannot utter a single word to God and instead, tears begin to flow.

In His presence you sit or lay there still, with Him ministering to the depths of your heart. Though you sit in silence, the Lord is able to decipher what they mean. He knows every one of your needs before you even ask of Him. (Matthew 6:8)

In Psalm 56:8 in the NLT it says: You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.
‭‭
That means that not one of your tears has gone unseen or unrecorded by Heaven. The Lord has kept track of them all.

Your tears are silent prayers to God, He has heard and seen them. And He will answer. His name is El Roi, the God who sees.

Be rest assured, He is working in your waiting.🫂🤍

Dream big dreams. We serve a big and mighty God. A God who is our Father in Heaven. A God who only wants the best for His children.

You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. (Matthew 7:9-11 NLT)

Our Father is perfect in all of His ways. He doesn’t even have the capacity or ability to do wrong. So if we can give our children good gifts just imagine what your Father has in store for you when you ask Him, trust Him, seek Him.

We see throughout scripture how God changes situations around 180°. Where He makes a way where there seems to be no way so I want to encourage you. If you’re in a place of feeling disheartened by your situation seemingly never changing, be rest assured that God is working in your waiting. The Bible says hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life (Proverbs 13:12).

Don’t allow your situations or circumstances to dictate your faith or emotions but let your faith determine how you see those same situations and circumstances. Allow yourself to dream again, remain confident in the hope that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion too that final day (Philippians 1:6).

Dream with Him, allow Him to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). He loves you endlessly, immeasurably. And ONLY has good thoughts towards you and good plans for you. Trust Him today.
