I address you with intent and purpose. I am the one who will always speak to you with a sharp tongue and the words to make you think. I create and express and tell stories with intention and purposeful efforts in hope that what I say and how I say it and when I say it, is the only thing that will be left behind. Eventually, I will be the next to go, but while I am here and while I am the voice of my people, you WILL come to understand that revolution will not end with me. You have lied, you have stolen, you have killed, and you have deceived and somehow you can look us in the face and deem yourself the greatest country. It is heartbreaking. But what you will come to realize and maybe this will take generations, and maybe this will take centuries, and maybe this will take another war. But you will come to realize that you have never been the image you have tried to paint.

For the ones who are us and for the one who stand with us, I know you are tired. I can see it. I can feel it. But we cannot be done. In order for us to gain the Justice that we have fought so hard to have we must to continue to protest, we must continue to be a voice, we must continue to be willing to put our life on the lines for the sake of our lives. I know that’s a lot to ask for. Especially when we shouldn’t have to. And if you can no longer stand, if you feel you can no longer fight then I hope that you put your faith and trust in me because I will always be able to do it for you. For us.

I want to take the time to really express my gratitude for each and every single individual that were a part of this project. You have listened to me go through the entire project breakdown and why this project came to be. You have taken the direction that I have given you , and executed it in ways that I will always be grateful. I cannot be more thankful for you all for helping this project be brought to life. You deserve all of the recognition and all of the praise that should come your way. I love each and every single one of you and I hope you never forget that we are The Revolution.

In honor of April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, I present to you a project that I have been tediously working on for months. This project has taken so much time, energy, love, research, creativity, commitment, reopening of wounds, loving the scars, tears being shed and hugs being needed. I have done everything in my power to always create in a way that has the ability to heal and hurt all in the same moment. I think that it is very important to do so and I have no regrets of this project. As I have said, everything within this project is open to interpretation and that all feelings will be expressed and protected within this project. I already know how sensitive and difficult this topic is and because of that I also made sure that this project was safe and full of compassion.

To all of my cast and crew and for the ones that made this project 100x easier, I am forever grateful. For the ones just watching the project, they may not understand what we went through filming this. It was meticulous. It was thorough. It was detailed. It was exhausting. But through all of that…it was needed. The way that you all took direction and were supportive of every idea that I had. You all give me hope and fill my tired heart with peace. I couldn’t be more appreciative. And it was not easy. I know that it wasn’t. But I promised you that I would take care of you throughout this entire process. I will of course have so many more projects in the future and will most definitely be asking you to be apart of them. I have so much love for you all. So thank you.

“A Poetic Piece Of Poison” was meant to be the last project of my life…whatever that means.

It was born in a place where words outlived their meaning and silence grew louder than truth. A final offering. A whispered scream. A beautiful end to things that were never given the chance to begin.
I wonder when the things I meant from the bottom of my heart started to lose their weight. their shape. their sound. So I stitched them into something that might still be heard. Not for closure, but for clarity. Not for applause, but for understanding.

The premiere was the destination, but the moments leading up to it were the journey. 🎞️

Before the lights, the cameras, the red carpet, and the celebration…there was life happening in between.

There was the joy of performing on stage again at a poetry show. There were moments where I got to simply breathe. To laugh. To be present. To experience genuine peace and genuine joy with my brother, Cequence. The kind of moments you don’t realize you needed until you’re in them.

And honestly, sharing this recap feels like it’s more for me than it is for the people who will see it.

It’s my way of holding onto the feeling.

Because sometimes a recap isn’t just a collection of pictures and videos. Sometimes it’s a reminder of what it felt like to be there. To live it. To laugh until your stomach hurts. To create memories in between the chaos. To look around and realize, damn… I’m really here.

So for those who weren’t there, let this give you a glimpse.

Not just of the premiere, but of everything that made getting there so beautiful.

I put the work in YEARS before I ever imagined becoming a martial arts movie star. 🥋🎬

Long before the cameras, the premieres, and the opportunities, there were countless hours of training, teaching, sacrifice, setbacks, and staying committed when nobody was watching.

So getting the opportunity to work alongside some of the people I grew up watching and studying @officialmichaeljai @walterejones and @marresecrump was truly the icing on the cake.

Moments like this remind me that opportunity hits differently when you’ve already spent years preparing for it.

Hard work + dedication + opportunity.

Part 3.

The questions we carried from the beginning finally have voices.
Why grief? Why this story? Why did you choose to be here?
And what did you leave behind?

This final piece brings together the people, the conversations, the vulnerability, and the purpose behind A Garden Of Echoes Written In Grief. What started as words on a page became a space where people could be honest about the things we often struggle to say out loud. Grief looks different for everyone. Some carry it quietly. Some bury it. Some search for answers. And sometimes, we simply need someone to remind us that we are not alone in carrying it. Listen to their voices. Listen to why they came.
Listen to what this project gave them. Because behind every frame is someone who chose to leave a piece of themselves in this garden.

Some stories begin long before the camera ever starts recording.

Before the lights. Before the slate. Before the first scene.

They begin with strangers choosing to trust one another.

One of the most meaningful parts of A Garden Of Echoes Written In Grief was realizing that this project was never built on talent alone. It was built on presence. We spent time learning who each other were, listening, reflecting, and creating a space where vulnerability came before performance. By the time the cameras rolled, we were no longer just filling roles. We were carrying something together.

This behind the scenes chapter begins with the perspective of the person who witnessed it all through a different lens. Not just the moments we filmed, but the moments in between. The conversations. The exercises. The laughter. The silence. The trust that slowly transformed a group of individuals into a team.

And as each name appears on your screen, I hope you take a moment to recognize that every single person represented here left a piece of themselves in this project. Every department. Every role. Every unseen act of service mattered. What you see on screen exists because of what happened behind it.

Films are remembered by their stories.

I hope this one is remembered by its people.

There are birthdays… and then there are birthdays you’ll carry with you for the rest of your life.

This was the best one I’ve ever had.

To spend it with you, my brother, made it mean more than I could ever put into words. We celebrated not just another year of life, but another year of choosing each other as family. That’s something I’ll never take for granted. You deserve every ounce of love, appreciation, praise, and every good thing this life has to offer. The respect I have for you is immeasurable, and I’m grateful that life gave me someone I can laugh with, lean on, challenge, and grow alongside.

This trip was exactly what we needed. We made memories we’ll be talking about for years. We laughed until our stomachs hurt. We escaped the noise of everyday life. We finally slowed down, relaxed, and did what brothers are supposed to do. I know we will continue building a bond that time can only strengthen.

Thank you for simply being you. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for making this birthday unforgettable. And despite all the arguments, unnecessary debates, terrible navigation decisions, random competitive moments, and our shared inability to admit when we’re wrong…I’ll have to keep putting up with you for the rest of our lives.

Fortunately for you… I’m not going anywhere.
Here’s to another year, another adventure, and many more birthdays we’ll celebrate side by side. I love you, brother. by @thoughtsbyking
