"Infinity Fencers"

Chapter 1 finally drops!

this is my short film for "Animation Show 'n Tell Ottawa 3"- an AMAZING animated Shorts event that i look forward to every year. The amount of talent in that Theatre cannot be over stated.

i love you nerds so much!

this is a comic that i wrote 10+ years ago during a cottage weekend with my friends where i brought a bunch of foam swords and had a LOT of fun.

That weekend sparked an idea that i was able to chase for a few months and about 6 chapters of straight-ahead "no wrong answers" pen-on-paper comic book that at the time was my longest unbroken body of work.

Normally i would have sparked an idea and moved on by the next day, but i tried as hard as i could to "no care" or take my comic too seriously (perfectionism is the death of production, perfect the enemy of the good). I was able to sit down day after day and make "just one more" panel, just one more page.

and then, just like with everything else, i started to like it JUUST a little too much so out of fear of making a bad page, or a bad idea, i shelved the project indefinitely.

luckily at this time i had learned a few things about respecting my own work and this comic didnt end up in a pile or thrown away, i kept it safe in a little box in my closet. Then show n tell 3 came calling and i looked through my closet of unfinished, abandoned ideas and there was "infinity fencers" sitting there, waiting for me to pick it up again.

it was a perfect fit, simple, fun, rough around the edges and ready for animating.

I made a firm decision to make a film, as 'unfinished' as it needed to be after Christmas break. I started animating in my spare time in february and in just a few short months i had accidentally completed a Film that i can considered "just finished enough" to call "done".

its rough, imperfect, unpolished and everything that i love about animation. I wouldnt have done it without the Show N Tell as an incentive.

for anyone else out there that wants to make something too: Dont let perfection get in the way of making something fun, raw, rough around the edges.

I love animation, i hope you guys like my film, it was so much fun to make by @thraggdrasil

ICE was an organization that deported people for failing to follow paperwork guidelines. If someone qas arrested for a crime and during their ID check they found out they overstayed their visa, or they didn't have a green card steps could be taken to escort them out of the country. That's what ICE used to do.

This isn't ICE. This is the Proud Boys. "Stand back and stand by". They were let out of prison and given masks, guns, and 4 wheeled tanks. They were given a $50K signing bonus and when they kill civilians they get a gofundme that can make them a millionaire.

They can enter your business, enter your house, enter your kids classroom. They can kidnap you without "checking your papers" they can shoot you in the face and leave your body on the ground for your neighbors to weep over. That's not ICE, this is terrorism, these guys are ICESIS.

This is not some kind of government agency or law enforcement. Police officers have training, these terrorists have your freedom. by @thraggdrasil

Wooo! now that the trailer dropped I'm allowed to share that I was able to work on this show and fulfill my childhood dream!!

Even tho my part was small it's still so surreal I was able to be a part of the most iconic cartoon ever produced (imo).

I can't wait for the show to come out so I can make a bowl of cereal, snuggle up on the couch with my family and be teleported back in time.
