🎈50🎈I can hardly believe it. What a wild ride so far and I am beyond grateful to be in this body, on this land, with some of the best people ever. What a gift it is to get older. It’s not always easy but it’s a wonderful journey. So many lessons. And I’m walking into it all with an open heart and an open mind. ❤️Feels a bit strange to post about this when my birthplace and home for so long is on fire. It is breaking my heart to see so much of what I grew up with gone. So much beautiful land and animals gone in the blink of an eye. So much history and people’s lives lost. LA, I love you. ⚡️⚡️Hey all! The time has come. I will be officially retiring the styles that are currently in the shop. I have been so lucky to have been doing this business for the last 15 years thanks to all of you! I have been running it as a made to order business for all of that time and it has come time for me to shift my approach and focus. I will be spending more time on capsule collections, new one of a kind offerings and art. It is time for to spend more time on exploring more creativity and less on the producing side. With that being said, all pieces in the shop right now will be retiring and will no longer be available after this weekend. Had to step away from my taxes to take in the sunset. Was starting to feel like a troll 🧌 hunched over scattered papers, receipts, and scribbled bits of nonsense. This side of “business” is not in my DNA, and I abhor this part of having a business. I just want to make art and crafts, and tend to the garden, make delicious food, take naps in a hammock, read the hundred books I have yet to read in my library, learn new skills, and learn to just sit. Things have admittedly been hard over the past year. Death, illness, not enough time or money, not feeling like myself in any way, most recently two flat tires, and the world seems to be burning. I’m filled with anger and frustration and deep sadness. But I am also filled with a new spark. Something is shifting. In me and in the world. I can feel change. I normally don’t like change much. It disrupts my nervous system. But these shifts feel like they are going somewhere new and promising. As they say, it is always darkest before the dawn and I am hoping that is true. Something that has been dormant in me is coming to light. And I feel this mirrored in the world as well. It is still quiet, but it is not small. I am listening. I think we all are. Side note…I am so behind on work. Many of you have outstanding orders. I want to thank you all for your patience as life has been quite challenging and I am doing my very best.
