POSTS STORIES REELS

I realise that in most moments, you’re always gathering, pulling or clutching on to something - just like how we love holding you. You claim to be a ‘big boy’ now, but you’ll always be our little one.

//

Who would have known
the littlest one
takes up so much space?
In our hearts
(and on our beds),
you comfortably know your place.

The pitter patter
of your feet
reminds me of the rain,
but also the joy
and sunshine you are -
the balm to a season of pain.

One day you might grasp
the courage it took
to imagine the thought of you;
before you, there was another
whose smiles and giggles
we never knew.

Our rainbow you are -
a loving reminder
of goodness and mercy that follows;
that there is grace enough
in every season
with no need to beg or borrow.

Blessed birthday my boy,
oh how you’ve grown;
we are so grateful for your life.
There will always be room
for you on our bed -
until you find a wife. by @threechordfaith

i meant for this to be a photo dump of our recent trip to tokyo/morioka, but sieving through the gyoen photos brought to mind that @ador3d and I have returned to this same garden over the years in different seasons. it has quite literally been a decade - first as newlyweds, then with a toddler and another in the belly, and now as a family of 5.

we’ve seen it in full bloom, dressed with amber leaves, and also in barren branches; it has captivated us despite its changing form and we’ve returned to it time and again. there is a sense of willingness, even generosity with how it chooses to host us in its season - does not it feel the embarrassment or vulnerability of its barrenness?

and I wonder if this same garden has watched us in turn; if it would speak of our formation through the shifting seasons - the things we’ve shed or how we’ve flourished, even the vulnerability we’ve been learning to wear without shame - and if it would readily testify too, to the inexpressible beauty of it all. by @threechordfaith

Is there something wrong with me? Can I ever be made whole again? The inner life of our minds is like a sacred space – a garden – which no one really has access to but us.

I honestly feel kinda lost when it comes to sharing original music through social media. This post itself took (embarrassingly) longer than it needed too. I even tried to watch faithfully follow the tips on @jonathanogdenmusic ‘s reels, but I failed miserably cos I just got distracted watching all the other reels.

So against my better judgment, here goes:

I’ve got a song to share.
I’d really love for you to hear it.
In fact, it’d be great if you could pre-save it via the link in my bio.
Thankssssss.

‘Truer Words’ is out this Friday, 27 Feb. by @threechordfaith

I thought someone made a fresh batch of roast pork, but it was just our backs cracking for this photo. I’ll carry you, fam - for as long as 马 body can take it 🧡🍊 by @threechordfaith

Laughing with you is, has been, and will always be one of my favourite things to do. Here’s to 11 years of the same girl in my passenger seat - the kids may attempt to ‘dethrone’ you, but we both know that the journey just isn’t the same unless we are side by side ❤️ #jonandhisgirlnextdor by @threechordfaith

2025 has felt like a long year, but Christmas seems to have come too soon. And it threatens to end just as quickly. In my human attempt to create a sense ‘Christmas joy’, I did what many do - put on the usual playlists, bring out the fancy wrapping paper, even munch on some festive snacks while singing familiar tunes.

It brought all the feels, but something felt missing. Is this joy? Is this peace? Where does joy begin in this season? Together with my dear friend @shmoongoo , I penned the words of this song in yet another human attempt.. this time, to rediscover and remember the source of it all - a God who gave in exceeding joy, to reconcile all of creation to Himself through the gift of Jesus.

Blessings to you and your families this Christmas!🎄 (lyrics below)

//

Every December
I try to remember
The joy of the season
That gives me a reason to sing
All of the melodies
The words and the harmonies
The songs and the parts
I know them by heart (so I think)

Is this joy?
Is this peace?
Jesus would You help me please?
I don’t wanna miss
the point of Christmas day

That God so loved the World
He loved us from the start
He called us His own
But we wandered from Home
And it broke His heart

But God so loved the World
That He gave His only Son
He sings: “Joy to all Man -
You’ll be with me again,
We will never be apart;
Joy to the world!”

We start to make our lists
Of who might get a gift
What would they deserve
How much is it worth?
What’s the cost?

Yet the Cross You endured
For the joy of Your reward
It doesn’t make sense
But You spared no expense
For the ones You love

Now there’s joy
There is peace
Jesus help me see
All is well because of Christmas Day

For God so loved the World
That He gave His only Son
He sings: “Joy to all Man -
You’ll be with me again,
We will never be apart;
Joy to the world!” by @threechordfaith
