Yall, the Salon turns 10 this year. I can't believe it. I cannot even say how much I appreciate all my fam/guests who have/had supported me and those who still do after 10 years! Everything counts. It supports my family, it goes back into the salon, it feeds me in various ways, all of it, everything. It's so humbling & heart warming that you choose me & my hands to do your Hair/Makeup for your everyday and or special events in your life. Even if you came in once, come in once a year, or never but told your friends! If you celebrated any parties with us or come by to visit, if we worked on any projects together, or worked at the salon, thank you 🫶🏽 To Celebrate Ive been working on a few things and one of them has been a rebrand. What a beautiful time and space it was for the first Art & Vibes! When I dreamt about this space I thought about how grounding our nervous systems and creative joy would be the foundation. While many art spaces like this do exist I wanted to add elements where the community who came had the opportunity to connect, build relationships or revisit with friends/family while tapping into creative flow. The feedback and outcome was clear that this brought joy, healing, laughter, and creative freedom. Thanks again to @threedeuceluce for letting me use @thehoneycomb_beautystudio, it’s clearly a vintage dreamscape! Also to @djlaruda for being our live DJ who added an extra special touch to bring it all in. As for all who came THANK YOU for bringing it full circle as we had moms, aunties, femmes, and grandmas who brought their beautiful selves.
