Inde Navarrette received a seriously rare surprise at Fanatics Fest. 🎮 A fan gifted the *Obsession* star an exceptionally rare copy of *Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2* — reportedly one of the highest-graded copies in existence. The gift also had a deeper connection to Navarrette. Before her acting career gained momentum, she spent time streaming on Twitch and has spoken about how gaming helped her through a challenging period when acting opportunities were scarce. That history made an already incredible collector’s item a particularly meaningful gift. via: @collect by @thrifting
Tony Stark would be proud of this one 🤯 After six years of engineering, experimenting, and countless hours of work, inventor Alex Burkan managed to bring his childhood superhero fantasy into the real world. Inspired by Marvel’s Iron Man, Burkan developed a custom suit packed with impressive technology, including a metal 3D-printed helmet, a functioning repulsor-style blaster, and artificial muscles designed to assist movement. The entire creation runs on a custom power system using batteries sourced from Tesla, making it far more than just an elaborate cosplay. Burkan shared the building process on YouTube, attracting nearly a million followers who watched his ambitious project evolve piece by piece. Something that once seemed possible only in a Marvel movie is now sitting in someone's workshop. Via: @alex_burkan by @thrifting

One of the rarest books in Harry Potter history 🪄📖 When Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was first published in 1997, only 500 hardcover copies were printed in its very first run. Of those, approximately 300 were sent to libraries, leaving just 200 for bookstores and private buyers. These original first editions have become some of the most valuable modern books in the world, with certain copies selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars at auction. What started as a small print run from an unknown author would eventually become one of the biggest literary franchises of all time. Imagine picking one up at a bookstore in 1997 and having no idea what it would be worth decades later. Via: @northo_ by @thrifting
This might be the coolest LEGO setup ever built 🤯 Hidden beneath Rian Zagelow’s backyard is a secret Batman hideout with an incredible history. What started as a Cold War-era fallout shelter has become an underground LEGO Batcave. Known online as @brickbatdad, Rian discovered the 6-by-9-foot bunker beneath his property in rough condition. Years of flooding and moisture had left the space nearly unusable, but he saw an opportunity to create something straight out of Gotham City. After upgrading the ventilation, controlling the humidity, and adding custom lighting, he began filling the shelter with LEGO Batmobiles, Batman collectibles, and intricate motorized creations. And he's only getting started. His ultimate vision is to cover the entire bunker in LEGO, building a massive Batcave from floor to ceiling with Wayne Manor sitting directly above it. Growing up, we all wished we could step into the world of Pokémon and find our favorite characters wandering around in real life. Artist @happyclaypot captures a little bit of that childhood magic by creating handmade ceramic Pokémon mugs and photographing them in nature, almost as if these tiny creatures were hiding in plain sight. There's something special about seeing the characters we grew up with brought to life in such a simple, wholesome way. A little reminder of the days when catching Pokémon felt like the most important thing in the world. by @thrifting

A piece of Star Wars history sold for over $1 MILLION An original, screen-used C-3PO head from The Empire Strikes Back sold at auction for an incredible $1,058,400. Featuring working lights, the prop is believed to be the only surviving example from the film currently owned by a private collector, making it an exceptionally rare piece of movie memorabilia. C-3PO has been part of Star Wars since the very beginning, speaking the first line in the original 1977 film and appearing throughout all nine movies in the Skywalker saga. Back in January 2012, Nintendo brought a little gaming nostalgia to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, with an exclusive Nintendo 3DS Lounge. The private space became a popular hangout for actors, musicians, and comedians looking to escape the freezing winter weather between film screenings and events. Guests got the chance to experience Nintendo’s latest handheld console, competing in games like Mario Kart 7. Looking back, it perfectly captures the early 2010s, when the Nintendo 3DS was still brand new, the bright red handheld was everywhere, and even Hollywood celebrities were lining up to play. by @thrifting
If you grew up in the early 2000s, you probably remember these. 💚👊 Back in 2003, Marvel and Toy Biz introduced the legendary Hulk Hands alongside the release of Ang Lee’s *Hulk* movie, giving kids the chance to feel like the superhero themselves. These massive green foam fists came equipped with sound effects that activated whenever you threw a punch or smashed them against something. They were loud, ridiculously fun, and built to survive just about anything. At a time when superhero movies were becoming a massive part of pop culture, Hulk Hands became one of the most memorable movie merchandise releases of the decade. Whether you were punching your friends, destroying couch cushions, or driving your parents crazy with the constant smashing noises, these things were an unforgettable part of growing up in the 2000s. by @thrifting

In 1998, Bandai released one of the strangest Game Boy accessories ever made: the Pocket Sonar. It plugged into your Game Boy and used a real sonar transducer you’d drop into the water, letting you track fish and map the bottom on that tiny green screen. It wasn’t a gimmick either. It could detect depth, underwater structure, and even show fish movement in real time. The idea was simple: bring portable tech to fishing, years before smartphones or modern fish finders were common. by @thrifting
