First 70.3 triathlon ✅ 5:15:02 💨 Big up @thrive_multisport for the coaching 🏁 Ironman next? 🧐 by @thrive_multisport

It’s almost at the end of the season and we hope you’ve all had a good one.
.
If you’re already planning the next season then don’t wait until next year to get started. The colder months are a great time to train so that when spring comes you’re ready to step it up.
.
We can help you structure your training to get the most out of your time and to help you achieve your goals. We currently have some coaching slots available with Paul and myself, let us know if you’d like chat.
.
We’re also looking to open up Thrive to non-coached athletes so if you fancy wearing our awesome new @santinicustomuk kit let us know.

Details of what we can do for you are on the website.

A tough race at the Ironman World Champs in Nice but that’s exactly as it should be!
.
We’ve returned home after a great week away and already looking towards half marathons and marathons during the colder months and planning for next seasons triathlons for both ourselves and our athletes.
.
Next years races are not far away and we want to see our new kit on more start lines. Looking for the help of a coach or just be part of something cool, get in touch.

Last weekend we were off to the Ironman 70.3 World Champs in Lahti. It’s a good honest course with a rolling bike and run.
.
Lou raced on Saturday achieving a 6 min PB with 5:14 and 38th place in her category 👏
.
Paul raced Sunday retaining his world champ title with a 4:17 on a much cooler and wetter day 👏👏
.
Ever fancied getting to the world champs? We’ve got some coaching slots available so get in contact and let’s see if we can help you get there!

Next stop Ironman World Champs in Nice 😊 by @thrive_multisport

A little bit late this month with the round up of amazing races from our Thrivers.
.
July was a busy month…
.
We started the month at Outlaw Holkham with Sam who is currently training for the Ironman world champs in Nice. Sam came 11th in his age with a time of 4:18 👏👏👏. We’re looking forward to seeing what he does in Sept.
.
At 70.3 Swansea we had Gill and Lisa facing the wet and windy Welsh roads for their first attempt at that distance. They both did fantastic and Gill got our vote for the best finish line photo ever!!!!! 👏👏👏
.
At Cotswolds Classic @jameseacott86 smashed a 5th place in 4:15!! 👏👏👏
.
Further afield and Team Finch, @angiefinch07 and @garyfinch62 raced at IM Vitoria. Both did an incredible job with hats off to Gary who started the run in 41st place and picked off his fellow age groupers ending with a 15th and opportunity to race the World Champs!! 👏👏👏 🔥
.
We ended the month with a sterling performance from Mark who achieved the title an OUTLAW!!! at @outlawtriathlon. After working with Mark on the half distance last year, we stepped up the distance this year. It’s been hard work and a lot of hours of training and we’re very proud of his achievement and looking forward to hearing about what’s next! 🔥👏🔥👏🏁
.
Well done Thrivers!!! 👏👏👏 if you fancy joining us get in contact now as we have a few spaces left on the team.

What a difference a few years makes! My first triathlon was in 2015. It was a pool based sprint, it wasn’t quick but I was pretty happy with myself and I was bitten by the triathlon bug!
.
Fast forward to 2023 and my most recent triathlon where I came in third in my category at Ironman Staffs 70.3.
.
During that time I’ve been through the ups and downs of training and racing and that has helped me to help my athletes in their own triathlon journeys. I’m so proud of the team, what they’ve achieved and how they’ve faced their goals. This weekend sees the team racing at IM Vitoria and IM 70.3 Swansea and I know they’ll be great.

If you want to start your triathlon journey or need the focus and motivation a coach can bring then why not get in touch. by @thrive_multisport

June is nearly over and it’s been a hectic one for our Thrivers. Starting the month at Ironman Hamburg we saw Sam Chapman achieving a brilliant 4th in his age group. A solid swim, bike and brilliantly paced run saw him dip under 9 hours. Paul followed soon after and both are on their way to the Ironman World Champs in Nice 👏👏👏
.
Back in the UK @jameseacott86 raced Staffordshire 70.3 on a super hot day and won his age group 👏👏 a great result! Lou shared the podium getting 3rd in her category.
.
Onto Challenge Gdańsk and @garyfinch62 and @angiefinch07 both made the podium. Gary has a harder time than most with training due to some health issues but has a massive amount of determination to achieve great results. Onto Ironman Vitoria for Team Finch…
.
We’re super proud of @gillian_melia this month with another quadrathlon podium at Dearne Valley, this time winning her race 👏👏 Gill has been working super hard and we look forward to seeing her perform at her first 70.3 in Swansea.
.
We also had other races with Jonny and Oli at Dambuster and @debbie.montague.775 and Tim at Blenheim.
.
Plenty of training to come and lots more races. Well done you wonderful bunch of Thrivers 👏👏👏

Wow what a month May was!! Thrivers hit the season hard…
.
First up @jameseacott86 raced at Immortal Sport triathlon at Stourhead where he came in 1st 👏James also raced at 70.3 Marbella, a tough course and a good result but on to Staffs next weekend.
.
Mallorca 70.3 is becoming an annual race for Thrive with a great after party if anyone fancies joining us next year! Sam had a solid result coming in 6th in a tough age group of 346. @paullunn did what he does best on his 12th Mallorca race and came in 1st in his age group, rocking his @teamfreespeed kit. @lou_m_hathaway had a great swim and bike and although the run didn’t go to plan she stamped her ticket to the 70.3 Worlds in Lahti along with Sacha who had a solid race.
.
Closer to home Christian started the season at Box End Standard and proved he’s been training hard with a solid bike split.
.
@gillian_melia takes triathlon one step further and achieved a great 2nd place at the Bomber Briggs Quadrathlon which adds a kayak into the race.
.
We also had @debbie.montague.775 race her first half at Outlaw Notts, her first of many I reckon!!
.

And in what seems a very long time ago now! Mark and Oli started their season in St Neots in the chilly river water at @ATW St Neots Triathlon. Well done guys 💪🏻
.
Finally @road2_ultra finished his epic LeJog trip raising money for @suerydercharity.
.
We’re super proud of our athletes this month and look forward to them smashing up June!!
