Dr. Eugene Lou’s background is in orthopedic trauma. He spent five years as a physician resident in LifeFlight, seeing a high volume of high energy accidents where patients needed immediate resuscitation. Every patient who came through LifeFlight got an IV, it was standard, because it’s one of the only ways to mitigate a rapid collapse of the cardiopulmonary system.
