It’s been one year since I launched @thrivingincolor ! 🎉

I’ve learned so much about who I am, the impact I want to make, and how I want to do it. To my clients, thank you for putting your faith in me and trusting me to help grow your businesses. It is not something I take lightly.

My personal goal this past year was to prove to myself that I could run a business, doing something I love/makes an impact, and support myself, my family, and the life we want to live.

AND I DID IT ALL! 👏🏾

The first official @thrivingincolor event is in the books! I’ve been overwhelmed with so much emotion and gratitude that it’s taken me a few days to even wrap my head around all of it.

This wasn’t just an event. This was healing. It honestly felt like we all took the deepest breath we’d taken in a while - being in a room full of black women where you don’t have to explain yourself, where your struggles, your brilliance and impact on the world is already understood.

There were TEARS, y’all. Happy tears, healing tears. When people told me how they felt seen, how impactful the event was... I cried, multiple times. THAT is why I do this work. To make sure that every person of color feels seen, heard, and has the resources and community they need to thrive.

And creating the space for this work to happen takes a village, and I had the most incredible one!

@carmenreneeblog @morgiemone @shaynicole.xo @theebiancajade - thank you for trusting in the vision and pouring into every creator in the room. I love y’all BIG and I am forever grateful. 💜

To every single vendor - you were all absolutely amazing! You went above and beyond to help create a space that so many needed. I can also proudly say that every single vendor was a minority-owned business who truly showed OUT for the community. 🤎

And to every creator who attended - thank you for trusting me, trusting US to help you along this journey. I am so proud of each of you and cannot wait to see just how far you go ✨

What we created together was just a glimpse of what’s possible when we intentionally build spaces for each other. This is the foundation for something so much bigger. Follow along @thrivingincolor because exciting things are coming soon. 👀
