Cutest farmstand on the land! 🥚🧈🍯

This 5th generation family ranch has a cute little farmstand that sells eggs, butter and honey. AND you can feed the chickens (the kids loved it). 🐓

We hosted 2 hikes in 2 days here. The hike was a 4.5 mile loop with 1500+ in elevation gain, through a diverse terrain, including the fragrant smell of bay laurels, a creek, pastures and redwoods! 🌲🌳 We got to learn about the family that stewards the land, the people that support it and the wild history of the ranch.

It was a great experience for all! 🙌

Three events, in 3 days, DONE. ✔️

In Northern California, food is always at the forefront of the event! And tonight’s uber farm fresh bites were no exception!

On the menu…raw + cooked oysters, cheese + charcuterie, crudités, sliders, fish tacos and fig dessert. All made with local products/produce.

Producers like Hog Island Oyster Co., Nicasio Cheese Company, Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co., Stemple Creek Ranch, all have somethings in common…they are family owned, small businesses that deeply know their land and animals, they care about their communities and about how to continue to innovate to keep thriving for the next generation.

For the program…the symbiotic relationship of agriculture + oyster farming, land + sea, the importance of “knowing your farmer”, and the need for diversification and next generation ranching.

A successful night! 1 down, 2 to go!!! ✔️

The first is a donor event at a very fun restaurant in Marin!

Two and three are events on the land, hiking up one of the tallest peaks in the area.
