Perfect Sunday, bike ride on the monsal trail and back, coffee and sausage roll stop included! Liv did an excellent job pretty much skimming over the gravel! Jaunt over to Matlock and Matlock Bath for a wander, buy weird witchy apothecary goods and drink bougie hot drinks! Home for wine and a roast by @throwbackgem83

Put poor Liv through her paces tonight! Ground was damp from a rain shower so she was getting less dusty…. but on the way back I watched a very dark storm build right towards the village and direction home! A very wet and muddy final few miles! Instant wash for both bike and me was required #gravelbike #gravelbiking #loveagoodstorm by @throwbackgem83

Cracking adventure ride tonight checking out a new route and adventuring a bit further out, the bit of rain we had today cleared the air and dust and it was stunning! My knee continues to be in an endless cycle of swelling and pain but I’m at my most pain free when riding (or doing nothing )and it’s giving me the all important fresh air and exercise and I just have to keep managing it! I managed an hour and a half of cycling tonight and just took it easy and negotiated the tricky tracks in places! Resisted heading to the pub for a pint at Fulbeck (a cracking pub) which I think deserves a prize but it was mostly because I was hungry 🤣🤣🤣 #gravelbike #gravelride #womengravelriders #adventureriding #lincolnshirecountryside by @throwbackgem83

More of an adventure ride to seek cake, unrideable paths due to serious scorch and cracked earth but hike a bike is half the fun right? Just nice to able to enjoy some normal weather, catch some vitamin D, eat cake, watch alpacas and battle headwinds! 135 days since I received my stunner of a bike and as soon as the weather cheered up to get out and ride I injured my knee pretty seriously playing badminton, 20 days after receipt of my bike! Ever since, the bike I was so excited to incorporate into marathon training has sat collecting dust with my running shoes! 4 weeks ago I FINALLY had enough range in my knee to pedal very slowly and uncomfortably on my spin bike, so I’ve been working on slowly building speed (at least enough to stay upright) and today, on what would have been my marathon day 😢I finally dusted off my glorious girly gravel bike went for a little pedal, a bit on road and a little off and boy oh boy I’m going to have fun on her! What an awesome bike. (even if all the modern stuff has left me scratching my head and had to ask the boy for help) Running is still a long way off, likely mid to late winter… so here I am, inspired by @maddy_nutty and her Traka win (and hilarious interviews) and now in my gravel girl era…. Slowly , like real slow but in my head I’m riding wicked fast! #gravelbikes @livbikes #gravelgirl #bikepacking #cycling #injurycomeback by @throwbackgem83
