FRIENDZY FEST!

This is my 4th year now heading the main stage design. It is “Year of the Dragon” so I worked with their team to come up with a design that played into that. It came to life WAY better than I expected. I cannot wait for you all to see this lit up at night.

Huge thanks to @beamavisuals for providing all the LED wall and lighting. @ds.productions.inc for bringing a MASSIVE @pksound system. @xyzbeamz with an incredible laser deployment. We have some surprises still to show you once it gets dark 🐉 💨

Thank you so much to @friendzyfest_mf for giving me and so many other individuals involved a chance to flex. While the main stage shines, there is 2 additional stages that also had huge growth this year.

It’s hard to believe this festival has grown so large so quickly, while still being a small hidden gem in Alberta.

This year I’ve brought on @swirld.visuals to bring some pixel pushing goodies, and @aj_hardie for lighting.

I could not be more proud of this stage this year. It’s truly incredible what we’ve done.

You better grab a ticket for next year cause you best believe we will be going even BIGGER by @throwshapesvisuals

In anticipation of next month’s show, here’s a fully safe, metered audience scanning laser show we produced last year.

Little web interface I built to control @resolume with their REST API. It scales to different screen sizes and browsers as well.

Now I can just point any employees at the venue on the secure network to a webpage and they can control the pixel mapped grid of animations.

Will have more footage on that in another day! by @throwshapesvisuals

Using @resolume REST API and @cursor_ai to build a custom browser touch control for a venue that has an installation I’ve help design and build by @throwshapesvisuals

In May last year I was tasked with coming up with some VJ Loop content for a “Neon Jungle” themed wedding which featured 3 large LED walls surrounding the room in an upscale ballroom provided by @beamavisuals

Wanted to share some of those results as I was quite excited how things turned out. by @throwshapesvisuals

This Halloween we supplied 6 lasers to @screamyeg’s Camp Crystal Lake stage which featured performances from artists such as @officialrezz @slanderofficial @dimension @kaiwachiofficial @subfocus @boomboxcartel

A massive hardstyle event that took place in Calgary called Converge. For this event I experimented with live camera feeds with Resolume fx (no notch), as well as FlameGuru from @eyesupply.tv which honestly, looked really good for an indoor venue that real pyro wasn’t allowed.

SCREAM 2025

For this years setup I had to bring out 2 laptops running 2 different Resolume compositions simultaneously on separate midi controllers. One was for the LED walls and the other for the LED pixel rope of the puppet strings set decor.

Was a huge build to make this stage come to life. Major props to all the production crew involved to make it happen.

@litecraft.js on LX & Stage Design
@atmospheric_designs_ & @fulsifx on Lasers
@ds.productions.inc on sound

Thank you to @boodang & @screamyeg for the opportunity to flex our creative abilities to their potential. See you again next year! by @throwshapesvisuals

Visuals for @subfocus at @screamyeg

Had 2 laptops running 2 separate Resolume compositions. 1 for the LED strips of the puppet strings, and the other had two 4K outputs to the LED screens.

Was an incredible night! by @throwshapesvisuals

OVERSTIMULATION IN THE SIMULATION

Thank you @nightlight_vicpark for the opportunity to do some building projection mapping this year once again!

I decided to make a piece that sort of touches on how we are constantly flooded with overstimulation these days. There’s almost too much happening all at once too fast that your brain has a hard time focusing on any one thing. by @throwshapesvisuals

last month we brought out a total of 330 watts of lasers for @finaldropfest
