Maybe God is a dog spelled backwards. by @thurdthurd3030

Funny how life circles back.
I grew up fishing Lake Price as a kid. Back then I came out here with a fishing pole. Years later I came back carrying saws, lumber and a whole different appreciation for this place.
This wasn’t just a facelift.
New carriers. New frame. New decking.
Then came the fun stuff — custom seats, ladders and little pieces built specifically for this dock.
Still kept that old Florida feel, just gave it some new bones and another life.
And Florida fought us for every inch. Rain and lightning damn near every day. 😂 Sometimes the work stops because nature says so, and there isn’t a tool in the truck that can change it.
Gotta appreciate the unhuggable things too.
The rain.
The lightning.
The years passing.
The water moving.
The things you can’t hold onto, but somehow shape you anyway.
There’s something wild about rebuilding a dock on the same lake you grew up fishing.
Same water.
New frame.
Different version of me.
Old Florida love with some new life built into it. by @thurdthurd3030

I spent too much time thinking about where I’ve been
and where I’m supposed to be.
Nature doesn’t do that.
The sun rises when it rises.
The water moves when it moves.
A structure goes up one piece at a time.
You can’t cheat order.
So maybe rising to the occasion isn’t about becoming somebody different when the pressure hits.
Maybe it’s doing enough work in the present that when the moment comes,
you naturally rise—or fall—exactly where your work prepared you to.
That’s docks.
That’s music.
That’s life.
Board by board.
Bar by bar.
Sunrise to sunset. by @thurdthurd3030

There’s something about meeting the sunrise on the water.
Before the noise. Before the heat. Before the world starts pulling in every direction—there’s stillness.
Coming back to nature has become more than peace for me. It’s health. It’s vitality. It’s remembering who I am and what I’m capable of building.
This morning’s view comes from a dock renovation on Lake Silver in Edgewater—old structure, new life, one board at a time. There’s a lesson in that too: not everything weathered needs to be abandoned. Sometimes it just needs strong hands, patience, and a new foundation.
Grateful to work where the sky meets the water and watch another day rise while we bring this dock back to life.
Build with purpose. Breathe it in. Bless every moment. by @thurdthurd3030

Ten days on Lake Ola.
One of the clearest, most beautiful lakes I’ve ever had the privilege to work on. Every morning started with glass water and a sunrise that made you stop, breathe, and remember why you keep showing up.
This dock almost broke us in every way.
Long days. Heavy material. Cuts, bruises, pain, pressure and moments where quitting would’ve been easier than finishing. But somewhere between the laughter, the injuries and the exhaustion, we kept finding another gear.
We had fun building it.
We got hurt building it.
We grew while building it.
And through every hard moment, God kept showing us love—through the water, the sunrise, the people beside us and the strength to finish what we started.
Sometimes the blessing isn’t that the work gets easier.
Sometimes the blessing is discovering how much you can carry without losing your gratitude.
Built by hand. Tested by the process. Finished with love. by @thurdthurd3030

Turnkey 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Somewhere between the first piling and the last sunrise, a job becomes something you’re proud to leave behind. Long days, rough hands, a little blood and a whole lot of patience—built one board at a time until the view finally matched the vision.
“Push forward, grab hold of the future.”
The lake stays quiet. The work speaks for itself. We pay no mind. 🌅🌊🔨

Before the noise of the world kicks in, God paints the sky and reminds me I’m right where I’m supposed to be.

Wet boots. Long boards. Early mornings. Hard work. Calm water. Sunrise breaking over the lake.

Building docks ain’t always easy, but mornings like this make it feel holy. A little sweat, a little sawdust, a lot of gratitude.

First build under Orionsbuilt LLC.
This one means more than boards, posts, decking, and handrails. It is a reminder that growth happens through teamwork: one measured step, one honest cut, one corrected mistake, and a crew willing to show up together.
Proud to have been part of this build alongside Dockwerkes LLC and Willers Custom Builders.
There is something spiritual about building with your hands. You take what is raw, uneven, and unfinished, then bring it into alignment — not alone, but with the people beside you.
Respect to the owner-operators, subcontractors, small crews, and tradesmen building quietly behind the scenes. Partnership matters. Trust matters. The work speaks.
