Hurstbridge- Wattle Festival

I first learned about the Wattle Festival through a school assignment last year, where I had to research sustainable tourism development in Hurstbridge.

Listening to the local community development association and business owners share their visions and stories was really touching and inspiring. They truly love the natural environment, history, and community culture of their village, and they strive to find a balance between economic growth, environmental sustainability, and cultural preservation.

The Wattle Festival is the biggest annual tourism event here. I was so glad to see that they’ve adopted some of the measures we discussed in our assignment, such as the “Treasure Collection” program by local shops, food vendors using reusable eco-friendly tableware, and children’s art gallery displays. This place is truly a great example of “Doing well by doing good.”

You haven’t even boarded the plane yet, and I already miss you.

Even though we always claim to be in a low-energy state, looking back, our troublemaker sisterhood has never stopped causing mischief.

Most of the time, when we talk to our friends, we tend to share the more dramatic stories for the sake of making our gatherings more entertaining. But what I cherish the most in my heart are the warm moments we’ve shared—like when you prepared breakfast on bed for me when I couldn’t get up, the encouraging notes you wrote for me to take to school when I was low, and the beauty and fashion advice you’ve given me on my trans journey. I’m so grateful and lucky to have you as my sis.❤️❤️❤️
你都還沒登上飛機我就開始想念你了。

雖然我們都聲稱我們在一個能量很低的狀態，但暮然回首，我們這一年鬧事姊妹依然不遺餘力的鬧事。

其實很多時候為了聚會聊天的故事張力，我們比較多跟朋友們敘說張力強的鬧事姊妹事蹟。但是藏在我心底更多的是那些我們姊妹的各種溫馨時刻，我起不了床時你幫我準備好的床上早餐、我壓力大時你寫給我帶去學校的鼓勵便條紙、我trans路上的美妝與時尚指導。

Happy Luna New Year. I feel so lucky and grateful to all my supportive family and friends. Because of all of you, I can be who I want to be and be better myself. I love my family and my friends.
