Never take for granted the people that God brings into your life! ✨
Yesterday was a day to enjoy, celebrate and uplift one another. Under a beautiful sunset we danced, laughed reminded of our ancestors in the work that is still ahead for us.
Congratulations to our newly elected 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥, 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 H Keyon Gaston, and his Parade Marshals as they prepare to lead us into another exciting year of celebration, service, and impact.
And, as always, special recognition and heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary Mrs. Deborah Caviness for her tireless commitment, vision, and dedication to Juneteenth of Fairfield County and to our broader community. Your leadership continues to create opportunities for generations to celebrate our history while inspiring each of us!

I had the privilege of attending a private social that brought together Governor Ned Lamont, Trumbull elected officials, and community members for meaningful conversations in an intimate setting. It was refreshing to spend the day surrounded by people who genuinely care about our communities and are committed to advocating for the values and changes they believe in.
So often, we find ourselves talking about what needs to change or expressing frustration with the current political climate. Those conversations matter—but they are only the beginning.
Real change happens when we choose to engage.
It happens when we show up, listen, ask questions, build relationships, and take a seat at the table. Whether we agree or disagree on every issue, meaningful progress starts with respectful dialogue and a shared commitment to improving our communities.
Events like this remind me that there are opportunities for each of us to be the change we wish to see—not only through our words, but through our actions, advocacy, and willingness to participate in the process.
Thank you to Governor Lamont, the Trumbull elected officials, and everyone who made this gathering possible. I left encouraged and inspired by the collective passion for strengthening our communities and creating a brighter future together.
Here’s to continuing the conversations, building partnerships, and turning ideas into action.
