the butterfly effect. 🦋

The idea that small actions can trigger vast, unpredictable consequences.

The piece follows a main character navigating an internal dilemma, while four dancers embody butterflies, catalysts of change that disrupt, influence, and reshape their reality.

The film invited the audience to consider how insignificant encounters, decisions, or emotions can ripple outward, altering paths, identities, and outcomes in ways we can never fully predict.

closer from a distance (part two)

A dance film that focuses on the embodied responses to paintings that resonate with my artistic interpretation of them.

This section is an artistic response to the famous painting ‘The Lovers’ (1928) by René Magritte.

It depicts two lovers who are separated by the white cloth that symbolises a division of intimacy and an inability to connect with each other, thus leading to a feeling of frustration and isolation.
