🥳 This month marks 7 years of being officially licensed as a Texas attorney, and what a journey it has been!!

When I started college, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to pursue law. It took a three-hour session with my college career counselor to help me make that decision. After my first semester of law school, I seriously considered dropping out. But with the love, encouragement, and support of my friends and family, I pushed through, graduated two years later, and became the first attorney in my family.

Looking back, I’m incredibly proud of the journey that brought me here. The investment, the late nights, the uncertainty, the challenges, and the countless moments of questioning whether I was on the right path were all worth it.

I’m especially proud to be among the approximately 1% of attorneys in the United States who are Black women.

Seven years later, I’m grateful that I trusted myself enough to take the leap, resilient enough to keep going, and courageous enough to build a career I’m proud of.

Here’s to the journey, the growth, and everything still to come. 🥂 by @tialise_
