Some things are just meant for the colder months. 🍂

Our bread pudding is one of them.

A favorite from our café days, made with our seasonal baked goods and baked until golden, custardy, and full of all that warm, cozy goodness.

It’s rich, nostalgic, a little indulgent, and exactly the kind of comfort food we love bringing to the table.

Available for local delivery only during the fall and winter season.

Gluten-free. Nut-free. No consolation prize. 💙

Entrepreneurship has a funny way of taking you places you didn’t necessarily plan to go.

After nearly two decades in specialty coffee and years of building Black by Demand, I’ve learned that sometimes the most interesting part of building a business is discovering how much room there is for your ideas to evolve.

I recently spoke with VoyageDallas about my entrepreneurial journey, the experiences that have shaped my perspective, and the evolution of Black by Demand into Tiana’s Table.

One of the things I’ve come to appreciate is that building a business isn’t just about identifying an opportunity. It’s also a form of creative expression. A way to bring your experiences, interests, and values into something tangible that other people can participate in.

For me, that’s meant expanding beyond specialty coffee into gluten-free and nut-free hospitality, creating more opportunities to explore food, culture, service, and connection.

And, of course, figuring plenty of things out along the way. Because apparently that’s part of the job description. 😂

Thank you to VoyageDallas for the opportunity to share my story.

A fall favorite returns. 🍎🍂

Crisp apples, warm cinnamon, a little brown sugar, and all the cozy flavors we love about fall.

Our Apple Cinnamon Streusel Muffin is soft, tender, packed with real apple pieces, and finished with a buttery streusel topping for just the right little crunch.

Basically, everything good about fall in one muffin. 🤎

Gluten-free. Nut-free. Always delicious.

Available to order for shipping and delivery at Tiana’s Table. ✨ by @tianastableco

Today is my little sister Tiana’s birthday. 🩷

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what it means to keep loving someone who is no longer here. How do you practice love when the person you love is no longer here to receive it?

Tiana’s Table is one of my answers to that question.

Growing up, we both knew what it felt like to be deprived of certain experiences around food. Tiana lived with celiac disease, and I navigated my own food allergies. We understood what it meant to have to ask questions, sit things out, or settle for whatever was available.

I wanted to build something that offered the opposite. Where gluten-free and nut-free food could feel abundant, exciting, and worth gathering around. Not an afterthought. Not a compromise. Just really good food, made with care, and hospitality that makes room for more people.

Tiana’s Table exists not only to honor my sister, but from the belief that everyone deserves a seat at the table—a place where food is joyful, safe, inclusive, and never a barrier to belonging.

Happy birthday, Tiana. I love you. Always. 🩷 by @tianastableco

I’ve been thinking a lot about how disconnected we’ve become from the people who actually produce our food.

We talk about farm-to-table, freshness, and knowing where our food comes from. But there’s so much happening on the other side of those conversations that we rarely get to see.

During a recent impromptu visit to @andreaharitos in Delaware, I got to spend some time learning about the operation, meeting the animals, and seeing how co-owner Andrea is creating an experience that goes beyond agriculture.

What I found especially interesting was the hospitality component. She’s creating opportunities to welcome people onto the land, introduce them to the work, and build additional ways to sustain the business. It’s an important consideration when we talk about sustainability in agriculture, because the people doing the producing need sustainable livelihoods, too.

As I think about how Tiana’s Table can become more connected to the people and processes behind our ingredients, I keep coming back to the intersection of food production and hospitality. It’s something my years in specialty coffee have made me especially curious about.

There’s so much more to food than what ends up on the plate. And so much to learn from the people who make it possible. by @tianastableco

Who said a breakfast sandwich needs a roll? 👀

Sometimes, the best part is what you put it on.

We took the familiar breakfast sandwich and gave it a different kind of foundation: a good, savory biscuit, made gluten-free and ready for all the breakfast sandwich goodness you can fit between two halves.

A little unexpected. Very much worth the bite.

At Tiana’s Table, we love making food that feels familiar enough to crave, with a little something different to discover.

💜 Spooky season, a little different.

We like to have fun with our food at Tiana’s Table, and seasonal flavors are no exception.

Our first muffin, the Sweet Potato Chai, is making a return, this time in cookie form! Naturally vibrant purple sweet potato, warming chai spices, and golden raisins; a little something different for the season.

No artificial colors needed. Sometimes the ingredients bring a little magic of their own. ✨

Who says spooky season has to be orange and black?

Joy is Resistance. 💜

I don’t feel like hospitality should ever feel generic, especially when you’re celebrating something that’s specific to the people in the room.

Yesterday, Tiana’s Table by Black by Demand joined Odyssey Re in celebrating Vietnamese Independence Day. We created a custom coffee and tea experience featuring cà phê sữa đá made with the amazing Hanoi blend from Nguyen Coffee Supply and jasmine iced tea.

I also did a phin demonstration, which honestly ended up being one of my favorite parts of the event. It gave me a chance to talk about the coffee tradition behind cà phê sữa đá instead of just putting it on the menu, educating and connections with guests, and creating small moments of interaction rather than just serving it.

That’s really how I think about corporate hospitality. It doesn’t always have to be this generic thing that could’ve been put in any office for any occasion. If we’re celebrating something, I want the experience to actually feel connected to what we’re celebrating and the people we’re celebrating with and for.

That’s a big part of what I’m building on from Black by Demand and expanding with Tiana’s Table.

Everyone deserves a seat at the table.

We’ve been making room at the table. 🥹

A little behind the scenes from the shoot that helped bring this next chapter into focus.

Inspired by my sister Tiana, Tiana’s Table is rooted in flavor-forward, culturally grounded, gluten-free and nut-free hospitality.

Because everyone deserves a seat at the table.

I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me bring this vision to life.

Nearly three years ago, Black by Demand moved into a train station with a lot of coffee, a lot of hope, and a willingness to figure things out as we went.

Along the way, commuters became regulars, regulars became friends, and this little kiosk became a place where conversations happened, pastries were shared, babies drank imaginary lattes, and community was built.

As June comes to a close, so does our chapter of daily service at the South Norwalk station. Tuesday, June 30th will be our final day behind the counter.

What started as coffee has grown into wholesale partnerships, large scale coffee catering, private events, and Tiana’s Table — gluten- and nut-free pastries and meals inspired by memory, hospitality, nostalgia, and celebration. While our chapter at the station is ending, Black by Demand isn’t going anywhere. In many ways, we’re growing into what we’ve been building toward all along.

To everyone who trusted me with your morning coffee, grabbed a muffin before the train, lingered for a conversation, brought your children by to order imaginary lattes, or simply cheered me on from near or far — thank you.

Joy is Resistance.

Thank you for allowing me to practice that joy here.

With love,
