Part of the Darkroom Collective collage pile, an ongoing shared archive where images from the darkroom pass through multiple hands, perspectives, and lives.

This piece lives somewhere between mine and not mine. Built from fragments, interruptions, and whatever was already in motion. That’s kind of the point.

Creativity doesn’t come from nowhere. It comes from your world, what you notice, what you carry, what you’re drawn to, and from other people’s worlds colliding with it. Every exchange shifts the image.

Nothing here is fully controlled. It’s responsive. It’s layered. It’s collective.

Collage, much like life, is the decision of what stays and what goes. What you hold, what you disclose.

The scraps make the image, so I can only hope to make the most of what comes from the pile. by @tiaraadams

Still have some work up at @wisehallandlounge until the third week of May 👀

We’ll be swapping pieces out then, so if you’ve seen something on your phone screen from me that you’d love to see up in the space, let me know! I’m taking suggestions, seeing what resonates.

Go take a look while it’s still up. Custom prints and orders available ✨

Sometimes you aren’t wrong, you’re just early. #art #painting #process #gobrokeshootfilm #fredagain by @tiaraadams

Cutting an edge. Experimenting with how I feel about scanning and printing my paintings. They surely aren’t the same thing but it did at least feel good to be able to give it to someone in the world who could take something from it. Hope to continue it as my first series soon.

Shout out to @malaspinaprintmakers & @artshufflepomo for giving a process some space.

What a gift for this to be able to remind me of Jill Freedman's Loose Change (1979), capturing it differently. We don't compare, we add. Studying before helps notice the small details—like the coins, curve of a pressed wallet, the press of bodies on a train—evolves the visual language of our craft.

Also curious who’s shaped your craft or daily life? Thinking about this for #52artists2025 project — join the convo here or on community Discord, link in bio.

$☢️ Apocalypse Photo Assignment 🌌 What started as a kind of a ridiculous child-like self-assignment — “Apocalypse in 7 days? Like really you’re going to take that seriously? What would humanity need from you?” — but much like how it could happen, it turned into something unexpected. After all, little thoughts in a week of mundane like no one’s gonna be playing a lottery like that or care about brands names, or tracking gas prices. Right, how tariff-ically ridiculous this assignment would be fearing something that isn’t even real yet… never happens… 😅 It started with the person hunched over with their phone and cigarette feeling primal — like they’d snap at me for taking a shot, both of us clinging to our vices till the end. But also, maybe we’d miss serene tiredness like that in a public place or be released from locked up material luxury, letting go of handheld things designed to connect us, that sometimes just doesn’t. The library felt like a quiet rebellion, where knowledge and respect still reign supreme, even if it had no screens. Those no longer manufactured Kodachrome film-like reds in the neon city glow, as gone with Vancouver’s beautifully ‘defective’ purple lights — how it refracts off a fountain that way, knowing it wouldn’t have water. It reminds me that, even after something bad, there’s always room to be playful — to care about what pizza is and to hold someone’s hand. I started to see evidence of love and unity with more depth, quicker — at least for a week, seeing how people are still connected, even when so much right now can feel like it’s falling apart. Or maybe I just like Zombies dude, chill! Swipe through to see what will survive me. Which shot gives you the biggest end of day vibes? 🌑📸 by @tiaraadams$

March on through @anotherphotographyclub Meetup! 📸☀️

If missed out join us next round for good beer & great company. All skill levels are welcome, and there’s a non-alcohol menu available! No entry fee!

I was actually gifted a couple of point-and-shoots from a fellow member’s haul—so if you don’t have a camera, just ask us for one!!

Right now is clearly the time for local community, so just come hang out!! Come get your smiles for free, like the one @cineselena caught in me in the last frame🤙

If you’re interested, we meet on the first Saturday of every month @anotherbeerco at 5 PM!

There’s also a Discord server to keep up with everyone in between meetups—link in bio 💙

Downers (2024)
Acrylic on paper 7x10 by @tiaraadams

It’s strange to call it “the calling” when it may never make a sound—
like how judgment can be felt, even when they aren’t around.
Both seem like a threat to feeling fully found.
Yet beauty is found right here—in the not knowing of where this path is going.

So add some salt, take a slip—
Picture everything as a conduit.

If I slow down, I sometimes catch a glimpse of #MicroLoveStories — fleeting, unspoken, or maybe just stories I tell myself. 📸💙🤟

For the romantics, the seekers, and everyone diverse in between — Happy Valentine’s! You are so loved.
