“You’re looking sharp”…

A watch collaboration to celebrate 2 years of Good Vibes Only
Watch Ho & Co x Selten called the Jui.

The dial of the Jui is inspired by Ancient China where soldiers once wore body armour bearing a repeated design today known as the mountain pattern. These shapes conveyed unity, safety and quiet strength. On Jui’s dial return with a new meaning; a tribute to a shared bond of the collectors community. Each pattern represents a collector. You, me and anyone who’s never found joy in the small but significant rituals of watch collecting and horology.

Every Jui dial begins as a piece of natural black Tahitian mother of pearl. Already rich with shifting vibrant tones of green, violet, red and blue, the dial comes to life as the mountain pattern is engraved with digital CNC precision, inspired by classical guilloche. The result catches the light in its own way, different on every dial, just like each of us walks a different collecting path.

This piece is so aptly named, because it truly is crazy. Probably one of the most stunning watches I’ve come across in person so far. Everything from the case, to the hands, to the indices, to each component of the movement looked so well finished (at least to my eye with the minimal lighting I had). 41mm in diameter but it didn’t feel like it at all on my wrist, especially because the lugs shoot down from the case and integrate beautifully into the superbly flexible and comfortable rubber strap, making the watch hug the wrist nicely. Truly a piece you need to see and feel in person to understand why people are going Loco over this.

It’s great to have friends like @ticktalking who will buy watches like these so that I can try em on and play with them before taking the plunge 😂
