Autumn is my favorite season of the year. There is something so calming about cool mornings and candles in candlesticks. It reminds me of days long past. #autumn #autumnmorning #candlestick #tidbitsautumnadventures by @tidbitswithterry

Do you set up a little corner ambience when you study the Bible? One of my favorite things, when I can no longer have my devotions outside in the garden as seasons change, is to have a candle on my little study table. #biblestudymoments #thewayofthewildflower #tidbitsdevotions #biblestudycorner by @tidbitswithterry

My Dahlia’s refused to bloom all summer until I transplanted them next to my petunias and swan river daisies. Now I have tons of new buds forming! #dahlia #backyardgarden #cottagegardenflowers #tidbitsgardenadventures by @tidbitswithterry

When the heat of summer starts taking a toll on my spring plants, I know autumn is quietly making its arrival. My dad built me that dirt sifter over 12 years ago and it still works wonderfully! I have a few things in my garden that were his and they make my heart happy! #tidbitsgardenadventures #handmadebydad #backyardgarden #dirtsifter #flowerpot by @tidbitswithterry

Went to make some pumpkin muffins today and realized I didn’t have any pumpkin pie spice, so I just made a batch of my own! Here’s the recipe: 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 and 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground allspice

Something new I am trying this year is saving seeds from my garden. This morning I harvested dried coreopsis (tickseed). It’s wild how expensive flowers and seeds have gotten, and even mark down sales aren’t that great. Since I have less than a year to retirement, I am looking at ways to save money and I’m planning on participating in next spring’s local seed swap event! #tidbitsgardenadventures #seedsaving #coreopsis #backyardgarden by @tidbitswithterry

Our summer temperatures are pushing 100° and these violas won’t last much longer! They are getting trimmed back and will hopefully bloom again in the fall. Meanwhile, I will press and dry some of these beautiful blooms! #pressingflowers #violas #springblooms #backyardgarden #tidbitsgardenadventures by @tidbitswithterry

Gathered a few beautiful pansies to press and dry. Our summer heat will soon cause these to wilt away, but they usually come back when the cool weather of autumn returns! #pansies #tidbitsgardenadventures #pressingflowers #sundaymorning by @tidbitswithterry
