🐟 Will work for treats
👑 Treats should come to me

Melbourne weather said: indoor plans only ☔️ So here are 5 easy ways to keep them entertained when another wet walk isn’t looking too appealing.

Loki? Will work for treats.
Lexa? Doesn’t work for treats — she only accepts being treated like a queen 👑😂

𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻. 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 😂🦐

Milu: I’m going to need a full inspection first… 👀
Simba: Okay… but I’ll take the tiniest, gentlest bite possible. 🤏

Same family. Same prawn. Completely different personalities. 🤍

And while these two were busy conducting their very serious taste test, here’s something we love about prawns: they naturally contain 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲, an essential nutrient cats need through their diet to support things like heart function and healthy vision.

Just one of those little reminders that sometimes, good things really do come from nature. 🌊

Welcome to the T&T Family, 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗮 & 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝘂 🐾
We think Milu might still be deciding…

𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝘁 — 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 👀 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿? 🦐

Treats are intended to complement a complete and balanced diet.

That little pause before the stairs… sometimes it’s the smallest changes we notice first. 🐾

We often think about joint support once our furry kids get older, but their joints are working hard long before then — especially for the ones who run, jump, hike and somehow still have energy left afterwards.

Something we found interesting: 𝗴𝗹𝘂𝗰𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 — which is why shellfish is commonly used as a source of glucosamine in joint supplements.

It’s one of those little reminders that sometimes, useful nutrients are already hiding in whole foods. 🦐

Not a treatment or a replacement for veterinary care — just something interesting we thought more pet parents might like to know.

𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗸𝗶𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴🤍

And if you’re curious about the whole shell-on prawns behind this post, you’ll find them through our 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗶𝗼.

“Just one.”
— said every dog parent right before giving them another one. 😂

Marlowe started reasonable.
Then negotiations began.
Then apparently 14 minutes without a snack became a welfare issue.

And judging by that final photo… we’re pretty sure the whole delivery belongs to Marlowe now. 🐾

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲… 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸 😂🦐

Meet Latte 🤎

His first encounter with one of our whole South Australian Western King Prawns started with a very long stare…

“Mum… how exactly am I supposed to eat this?” 😂

The whole prawn was a little ambitious for him, so his parents broke it into bite-sized pieces — and suddenly, Latte knew exactly what to do. Swipe for the evidence. 👀

And this is something we love about food enrichment. It doesn’t always need to be a puzzle or snuffle mat. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗱𝗼𝗴’𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆. Veterinary enrichment guidance specifically includes offering different food textures and novel feeding experiences, while broader enrichment encourages dogs to explore, problem-solve and use their senses.

Sometimes they figure it out immediately.
Sometimes they need a little help from Mum & Dad. 🤍

Either way, watching that little brain work is half the fun.

𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗸𝗶𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲… “𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗺 𝗜 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦?” 😂 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 ↓

Please tell me it’s not just ours 😂🐟

Loki doesn’t even chew. Just ✨inhales✨ the sardine like we haven’t fed him in days.

Meanwhile, both of them suddenly have excellent recall when snacks are involved 🙃

Tag the person whose dog would do EXACTLY this 😂

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 — 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝗱𝗲 & 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹.

Long before Tide & Tail, there was just Dad… and two furry kids who very quickly figured out he couldn’t say no 😂

The kind of dad who says “they’re not sleeping on the bed”… and somehow ends up with no room left.

Who plans weekends around them, takes them everywhere, carries them when they definitely can walk and insists he doesn’t spoil them.

Somewhere along the way, “the dogs” simply became 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 🤍

And really, that’s a big part of the heart behind Tide & Tail too — they’re family.

Happy Father’s Day to Kevin and all the dads out there!

𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀? 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗺!

Dog mums, tell us — who gives in first in your house, Mum or Dad? 😂
