A few memories from the first week of September. This was definitely a new format for me and took a while to finish. Plus this was all analog opposed to hybrid, so that felt odd. I definitely need to tweak my process, but other than that, it was fun to get creative with photos again.

Is it even a good time to come back to IG? I don’t know, but here I am. I purged all the media/pundits/political accounts from my following list because every time I’d open IG I’d get mad. I know it’s a privilege to be able to do that, but I seriously needed to step away for my mental health.
My desk and cabinets where I keep all my goodies was in major need of purging, and I was shocked at how much stuff I have (see slides, each with their own caption). It also made me miss being crafty, so I re-followed a bunch of crafty accounts (that somehow I wasn’t following anymore. How did that happen? I didn’t unfollow them. Hmm 🤔), and have loved seeing what everyone’s been up to over the last few years. Made me really miss this crafty community. And made me want to get back to documenting. I’m now an empty nester and unemployed. It’s quite the transition, and I’m still figuring it out. Life feels a bit boring, and I want to change that. Maybe documenting it will show me that my life’s pretty good, actually. Whatever I do, it has to be simple. The reason I have so much stuff is that I felt pressure to create beautiful layouts, with all the latest goodies. That pressure led me to walk away. 😢 Now, I want to come back in a more authentic, less “showy” way. Simple. Maybe in journals/notebooks? I don’t know. We’ll see what happens!

The many tools I have, that I rarely used (other than my tiny stapler and adhesive. And paper cutter).

Calligraphy stuff I haven’t used in ages.

More pens and lettering goodies. 😬

Watercolor stuff. So. Much. Paint! In tubes, in palettes, in brush markers, in bottles. Just, so much.

Okay… Planner stuff 🙈 Sticker books, stamps (oh, the stamps!!), actual planners (mostly empty).

Just paper, lol. Regular paper, different weight paper (for notebooks and planners I’d make), sticker paper (SO. MUCH! In matte, glossy, gold, for laser printer, for inkjet), and cardstock.

Actual albums, empty and full. Quite a few more in the garage.

Embossing stuff, old Mr. Huey sprays (remember those?), stencils I’ve made, my 4x6 Epson photo printer.

My Cameo (from 2012!!). It still works, though some parts have melted (rollers)?

Using my #alpdailypages to join in the #positivitypassportchallenge that @preciselytazhi started this month! I downloaded the digital cards from @everydayexplorersco and will sprinkle them in throughout the month. Here are day 1 and 2. Hello, IG. It’s been a while. Just over 2 years. I figured I’d join in on the #thursday3 today. So here are three things about me right now. 1. I’ve been lurking for the last week or two, and I’ve realized I miss this crafty little community. 2. I’ve been feeling the pull to create again, especially after seeing all of your crafty posts. I’m debating what format to do that in. I want something loose and easy. What do you recommend? 3. This is probably the most real photo of myself I’ve ever posted on here. No makeup, messy bun hair that needs to be washed, sporting some extra fluff. And honestly, I don’t care. Who has the energy to think about that stuff nowadays? #thankscorona Anyway, that’s it for me. Hopefully I will start creating again and post here. Finished some #projectlife spreads yesterday. After all my debating about album size, I ended up going back to 12x12. I just have so many photos that I want to include! I will also be starting a few other albums that won’t be chronologically focused. by @tienky

I kinda can't believe I finished my March book. I'm really good at starting things, but not great at seeing them through. Is it my favorite? Yes and no. Yes because it's done and I'll look back on it one day and smile at the memories. And no because I ended up using my handwriting (which isn't my favorite), and it feels very plain to me. But I think it was the right project to get me back into creating and documenting. We'll see how April turns out... by @tienky
