I hope it’s giving creative rest meets play✨

Here are some of the activities fueling me lately:

• Candle Pouring Workshop with @hydeandparkco x @chicagoathletichotel. The ballroom was the perfect setting for such a rich experience! Also my candle scent is 🔥
• Lunch at @upstairsatthegwen. The rooftop is stunning + the salmon was a 10/10. Don’t even get me started on the whipped ricotta + honey! 🥰
• Open Studio at @flowersfordreams remains one of my favorite free-flow activities! 🌸
• The Botanical Workshop at @thirdseasonchicago was so fun & playful. Once I heard Day Dreaming x Aretha Franklin on the playlist I knew I was in the right space. My inner child is happy. ✨🤍 by @tierralorenco

There are many reasons why I share my story but a big reason is I’m no longer defaulting to suffering in silence! ✨

2024 was the identity crisis I had been feeling since I turned 30 amplified 😫 A year + of not feeling like myself + feeling like chemically something was off, I did the brave thing + sought help.

After a few clinical assessments came the diagnosis, major depressive disorder. And as a high-functioning person I had a hard time comprehending that. (So did many of the people around me.)

Shoutout to my therapist + doctor for the reminders that depression is common + simply an identifier. I had so much more to offer myself + this world. 🫶🏾

And the journey began to caring for myself differently. Like doing less + honestly sharing about my capacity. Asking for help. Getting bloodwork. (Highly recommend!) Eating cleaner. Incorporating breath work + yoga. Taking a leave from work + requesting ADA accommodations. Investing in a lifestyle coach, etc. 🧘🏽‍♂️

It’s the most personal + profound rebrand I’ve known. From my own lived experience.✨

We kicked off the new year by giving ourselves flowers! Thank you @pierrad.b for facilitating our bouquet-inspired vision boarding with art therapy, @clearlycamille for the soothing meditation, @tierralorenco for your powerful message about giving ourselves permission to reinvent ourselves as often as we need, @allthingsjasmin on journaling our feelings (and even doing audio recordings) to release stress, and @allthings_samanthajo for sharing how we can incorporate more movement in our daily routines. We had the best time! It’s so therapeutic to be surrounded by community, art, and wisdom, especially in a time that feels increasingly so heavy. Special love to everyone who came out! Can’t wait to share more photos captured by @kstewartphotographyy. Hats off to the Lincoln Park Cultural Center for hosting us again! Stay tuned for more upcoming events! 💐💫

NEW EVENT ALERT: 🎨💐⚡️Join us for a celebratory brunch and vision board party to celebrate 2025! There are lots of lessons we learned this year that we can bring into the new year, so come for a blooming time! Art Therapist @pierrad.b will show us how to create our vision boards using art therapy, Flower Girls @tierralorenco @clearlycamille and @allthingsjasmin will talk about rebranding, meditation, and journaling, respectively, and Lululemon ambassador @allthings_samanthajo will surprise and delight us, and teach us about the power of movement! I got to make 2 candles:

Scent 1: palo santo + sandalwood (warm floral)
Scent 2: green tea + lemongrass (citrusy)
