Dear Atlanta, ✍🏾

Thank you for everything.

Thank you for the opportunities.
Thank you for the heartbreaks that, in the moment, felt like endings but were actually the beginning of who I was becoming.
Thank you for the nights out that only the people who experienced “old Atlanta” could ever truly understand.

Thank you for the friendships, and for teaching me that not every smile is genuine, not every connection is forever, and that protecting my peace is sometimes the greatest act of self-love.

Thank you for the lessons.
I truly feel like Atlanta turned me into a woman.

Thank you for making me a homeowner. Leaving my home behind is probably one of the hardest parts of this chapter closing because so much life happened within those walls. I was proposed to here. I got married here. It became my sanctuary, my peace, and my safe place.

Thank you for Milo. Who knew that during a pandemic, needing comfort and companionship would lead me to one of the best decisions I could’ve made? You have been more than a dog. You are my best bud and truly a personality all on your own.

And most importantly, THANK YOU FOR MY HUSBAND, ROBERT. 🤍

In some ways, I feel like he was the reason for it all. When I prayed for a husband and a lifetime partner, I was specific. But somehow, God still exceeded every expectation. You are the epitome of what a man and husband should be, and because of that, as hard as this move is, I would follow you anywhere in this universe knowing I will always be safe, loved, and taken care of.

So Atlanta… thank you for the memories, the growth, the chaos, the beauty, and the becoming.

But now it’s time for your favorite Alabama peach to go learn how to survive a Maryland winter.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I actually really love being married.

Lately I’ve been seeing so much content about how hard marriage is or people saying they regret it… and of course every marriage is different, but I feel like we could use a little more positivity around marriage in general.

For me, marriage has been one of the safest, most beautiful experiences. I genuinely feel like it’s what you make it… as long as you have the right person and the willingness to keep choosing each other every day. 💌

First time doing mat Pilates and it was definitely a humbling experience, in the best way.

Celebrated my Aries sister by trying something new, and I actually surprised myself. As you can see I was moving all over the place, but we made it work 🥴

By the end I somehow ended up side-by-side with Kenni, but overall such a fun experience and I can’t wait to try it again ✨
