14 years ago I left the hospital with a near total spinal fusion and a long list of things I’d never be able to do again. 5 years later I started cheer and I have spent the last 9 years beating the odds. 9 years of setbacks, injuries, sacrifice, tears and trophies - I stepped on to the Worlds mat this season with a point to prove and I did it.
Thank you to everyone I’ve met on this journey - you have made me the athlete I am today. Thank you to my diamond girls - I didn’t know what was going to happen when I walked into the gym that night, you took me in and have made this season unforgettable. Shine extra bright this season, it’s been such a privilege to take the mat with you. Thank you to my coaches @kayleighcoco @saskiageddes @loralizak @becky_xo for always pushing me to be better and believing in me even at times I didn’t believe in myself.
I have given everything to this sport physically and mentally and when it’s time it’s time. Couldn’t have asked for anything more - everything always works out for good. To the little girl in a back brace who had to learn how to walk again, this season was for you💎 taken in Orlando, Florida by @tife.98
