Danielle,
It’s been almost a week since you passed. Almost three since I saw you last. The thought of seeing you so recently leaves me emotionally torn. You were just here: eating macarons together, enjoying the bitter weather & beautiful view at Grandad’s Bluff. Taking pictures. Sharing memories. Making memories. Their were so many left to be made with you. Thank you for the years that we spent together creating a lifetimes worth of laughter, adventure & growth. They will be our memories forever, perpetually tinted by the positive light that you always radiated. You are sorely missed & loved beyond comprehension.
For those who never had the privilege of knowing Danielle, know that she was a passionate, creative, & intelligent person. She truly was someone who lived life fully & continuously, & was always ready to help others. Danielle was made of qualities that many individuals spend their entire lives striving to become & in her 23 years of life she move with as much authenticity & grace as someone who had the pleasure of knowing this earth much longer. We met at school through housing as ARC’s, another testament to her academic achievement & compassion. That year & beyond we moved through life together. Danielle was my closest friend. She was my #1 in my biggest life decisions & always regarded me with love & respect. Danielle’s authenticity led me to understand more about myself and the life I have the privilege of living, & it pains me deeply to have to do it without her.
Initially going down to ISU to help Danielle’s parents seemed terrifying. But hearing her roommates, friends, and loved one share memories and stories about her was comforting. Everyone knew you to be compassionate, intelligent, & artistic, & in our eyes you always will be.

In memory of Danielle I’ve begun the process of opening a thrift shop to sell Danielle’s gently used clothes and other items. Danielle & I spoke at great lengths about going into something that I am passionate & gifted at, & I feel her presence in this idea. All the proceeds will be donated.

If anyone has any memories or pictures of Danielle they are more than welcome to share. by @tiffanysunitha

Solo trip to Iceland pt. 1. A lot of sleeping in my car to see these views because if you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice.
