There’s something extra special about the people who have crossed your path and somehow, through all the different seasons of life, are still part of your story. 🤍

Life is so busy now. We’re all pulled in a million different directions, with families, work, kids and everything in between—so the moments when we actually manage to be in the same place at the same time feel a little more precious than they used to.

Maybe there’s a little wabi-sabi in this season of life—finding the beauty in things changing and knowing they were never meant to stay exactly the same. Some of us are becoming snowbirds, some are pulling up stakes for the long haul, and although I’d be lying if I said that doesn’t tug at my heartstrings, I also know that somehow, some way, I’ll keep finding these ladies over and over again. 🤍

Today was one of those days, and my heart is full. So grateful for these friendships, all the memories behind us, and the fact that no matter where life takes us, we still get to keep making new ones.

When Tiffy May requests @practicalmagic2 for her birthday, we see @practicalmagic2. 🔮✨

@jfenn311 and I prepared appropriately by rewatching the OG Practical Magic… and somewhere along the way John got INVESTED. Like, invested enough that he willingly came with us to the movie. No joke. 😂 He also assumed his rightful position as staff photographer for the evening.

I’ll admit, I went in a little trepidatious. I’ve been burned before. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a beloved show or movie being resurrected 20+ years later, only to spend the first half thinking, “Jesus Christ, when did everyone get so OLD?” (Looking at you, Sex and the City.) 😬

But GOOD NEWS. Not the case here. Everyone was holding it DOWN. 👏🏻 The vibes were vibing. The Owens women were Owens-womaning. The nostalgia was just right. The story was good. And John’s unexpected descent into witchy sisterhood remains my favorite plot twist of the evening.

HOWEVER. I have questions.

Namely… you’re telling me there have been like TEN GENERATIONS of Owens women living under this curse, presumably watching man after man meet an untimely demise, and not ONE of these spinster witches ever thought, “You know what? I’ll take one for the team and break this thing for everybody”?

Not one?!

Then finally someone steps up ten generations later?

OK BITCHES. 😂🔮

One of the wonders of ChatGPT: making what’s old feel new again. ❤️

Today would have been his 74th birthday. We’re at OU, getting ready to spend the day with the boys, and I can’t help thinking how much he would have loved being here for all of it.

And then there’s Mason… with the wild mane and facial hair these days, the resemblance to my dad is becoming downright uncanny. 😂 Apparently some things don’t need AI to bring the past back to life.
