I'm excited to announce I'm now a sponsored athlete with @baconandbarbells.co ! Use code TIFF24 for 15% off any and all merch on their website!

I've been a fan of this company since the first covid lockdown in 2022. Bought myself this exact hoodie and have worn it consistently for my workout days since. The quality of their clothes is unmatched. How many companies can you say your clothes are pretty much like new since you've bought them years ago? Probably not very many. Bacon and Barbells is a Canadian owned company too. #shopcanadian #shoplocal #buycanadian by @tifflifts01

In my feels today. Into month 7 of rehab. Can't go any higher than rpe 7 still without triggering a flare up.

For those that don't know, I developed a pinched nerve in February of this year. That lasted 12 weeks. The next 12 weeks that followed I was managing occipital and neck pain. I had constant migraines from pressure on my neck (bench). Had constant upper trap tension as well on the left side. I also had constant vertigo and just general feelings of uneasiness.

Since end of August I've now had a steady improvement of symptoms! No occipital pain, but the vertigo comes and goes. Won't get the clear to compete for a while until I've had a consistent 12 weeks of 0 symptoms and flare ups.

I'm waiting on a referral and some imaging to figure out exactly what is happening. So right now it's mitigating symptoms.

Thankful for a great team of treatment providers and an amazing coach who knows exactly what to do when my treatment team needs to change programming.

Anyway, thanks for reading my novel if you got this far. Here's a snapshot of what I hit this August before school started! by @tifflifts01

Ahhhh the ol' end of week 4 returns!
First end of week 4 in 16 weeks. Starting to really see the light at the end of the tunnel. 12 weeks of physio and coaching rehab. What a long journey this has been. Emotions were pretty much a dumpster fire at the beginning. I've told many people that I was getting ready to prep for centrals, but hit my nats qt for real this time at the beginning of February. I was a mess when I found out competing would be on the back burner for at least 6 months. Slowly I came to terms with it, and learned to enjoy training instead of chasing prs. I feel that we, as powerlifters get too caught up in the hype of it all and some end up burning out.

This year brought changes in a good way as well through the healing journey. I went back to school, got a mini "promotion", leaving the innercity for a better area of the city, and have found a new, refreshed enjoyment with powerlifting.

See you on the platform sometime in 2027! by @tifflifts01

10 weeks with a cervical injury. Not fully back yet, but give it 3-4 weeks and we'll be back to where I left off 🤩 Didn't get to complete Week 3 or even attempt Week 4 from my heavy volume block. Let's build and see where we come out in about 12-16 weeks! by @tifflifts01

Meet recap plus touristy things.
S 75/80/82.5×
B 50/52/55×
D 112.5/117.5/122.5×
The meet did NOT go as I had planned/prepped for. The only way to Quebec city was 2 flights via Air Canada . Everything was great, until the strike. Then they canceled my flight last Sunday 😭🫠 Cue Plan B- let's drive 3 days to Québec and rest up Friday all day before the comp Saturday. Peak went well, taper was good. Hit all previous platforms prs in the gym. I was on track to get my nats qt for 2026. The 15 hour days in a car really screwed my body over. Fried my cns before I even got here. I knew I was in trouble when I did 60 in warm ups and I had wobbly legs. I felt like I had no power in my body. No energy to give. 😩

Lesson learned- don't trust airlines. Give yourself more than a day to decompress after traveling to a meet.

Thank you @_argies for handling me! You did great!!

Oh and I also got drug tested LMAO. Little ol' me from Winnipeg. Time to take a break from competing for a little bit. Come back even stronger for regionals next year! See ya there. by @tifflifts01

One Family Barbell meet March 2025- Meet #3 in the last 12 months 😭
A redemption meet from November was goal #1. Goal 2, hit the record I've been chasing for 5 YEARS!!! 😩 Goal 3- have fun.

Some external factors leading up to the meet led to not hitting prs on squats and not hitting my gym max of 57.5 for bench meet day.

Squats 80/85/87.5 *match meet pr*
Bench 47.5/52.5/55 *meet pr*
Deadlift 122.5/128 *MB Prov Record 💃🤠* /130.5 x (moved the same way 127.5 moved last meet, so it'll be there next meet!)

Total 270.5
GL points 75.72

Ultimately didn't achieve the qt of 280 I wanted, but that's ok. I wasn't sure in the 24 hours leading up to the meet if I wanted to continue, but I showed up anyway and did the best I could despite external factors against my control.

Thank you @s3_christine for believing in me.
Thank you @jayms_k for agreeing to handle me, I had a blast.
Thank you @haoyisim for the nutrition advice to get me to comp weight once again!
A HUGE thank you to Jon❤️ for capturing my record attempt because the live stream died and failed to capture the most important lift I've ever done in the 6 years I've been doing this sport.

Going to take some much needed time off after running 2 preps back to back, and maybe do a meet in the fall. by @tifflifts01

UMPL Nov 10/25
This is a long meet recap. Buckle up for the novel!!
First, I want to thank @haoyisim for allowing me to make weight 🥲 AND to my lovely Athletic Therapist who has helped me soooo much with my minor muscle tweaks that kept reoccurring through the entire prep 😫@nnk.therapy
THANK YOU to my coach @s3_christine for helping me with this prep. THANK YOU to my handler @miracerillikoroluk
for helping me today. Much appreciated!

I spent the entire summer battling an unknown injury- which turned out to be scar tissue from a surgery over 10 years ago latching onto muscle as it grew and stretched. We made a lot of progress in such a short time.

Attempt #2 at a National QT.
WE TRIED ! But ultimately it just wasn't there....
Got my period one week out and thought I was cooked af, but food plans got changed. Made weight, felt good, but had no appetite for solid foods. Come deadlifts I was so full off of gatorade and water I couldn't stomach candy even. 🫠

ANYWAYS! Attempts:
S- 82.5/85/87.5 *5 kg meet pr!*
B- 50/52.5- match meet pr/55: failed 🥲
D- 115/122.5- match meet pr/ 128 - tried for the prov record. Just not there today.

Time to put some mass on, get healthy and we're gonna run it back in the spring. by @tifflifts01
