I miss my boy. I’m so lucky for it. We all have a lot to move forward for even if e v e r y t h I n g feels like it’s at a tipping point at risk of falling into an abyss - you still have safety that you can give yourself. I was reminded of this recently in a big way and no matter how much you fuck up- giving yourself grace is a gift that you can give yourself a little bit everyday. Anyway. It’s summer and I’m the happiest in the sunshine. I hope you’re avoiding World Cup traffic and eating lots of fresh fruit. <3 by @tiffstaff

Ok- I’ll try to keep the grief posts to a minimum but ya know- whatever who cares?

In the moments after carrying him out to the car that was going to take him away forever it was easy to field the feelings and choose to honor the need to escape The situation- so we all piled in to the car and went to one of my long visited river spots and had a sit and then to the falls to say hello. There are blessings everywhere and I won’t ever stop trying to count them. He was and is always present and I’m gonna keep revolving my life and love around DOGs. Because I can’t take credit for the things HE was responsible for, like motivating adventure. Because let’s be honest I wouldn’t do a lot if I wasn’t inspired by something outside of myself.

I’m so lucky to have these three to pick me up and make me smile and laugh on what was so far one of the saddest days of my life. Cheers to luck and love and healthy healing. taken in Snoqualmie Falls by @tiffstaff

5,948 days. 39% of my life lived on earth with This boy. Thanks for always asking “how’s Rory” when you haven’t seen me in a while. He was perfect. We had to say goodbye. If you feel like mourning him with me take your dog to a waterline and relieve some ducks and fish of our trash in their world. There is now a Rory sized hole in my earth bound soul that I’ll never take for granted. What a gift. 12/2009-5/27/26 by @tiffstaff

This is our most precious selfie. We in loOoVe, guyz. And we had been friends for ten years before this happened. Super cute. 🥰 but We STILL fucking suck at taking pictures together and I’m gonna be pissed about it when we’re in our 60s but whatever. 16 years, y’all. My little guy. For not all, but most of his life I have arranged my whole existence around this dogs happiness and enrichment- that in turn has provided lessons in discipline and self love that he probably didn’t know he was giving because he is after all, just a lil dog. What a blessing he will be for the rest of my damn life. I hope we get one more but it’s ok if we don’t. by @tiffstaff

When I moved to Seattle it seemed almost every time I went to west Seattle I would hear Bob Marley play in whatever restaurant I’d visited, and I thought that that was really funny. Not a whole lot of things are funny right now, but I really hope you guys are enjoying at least a portion of your day. Love a lot, build strength, commit to resistance. by @tiffstaff

lil monte cristo stroll today. Forest bathing with this 80 lb baby is not relaxing. Opposite some portions tbh. Traversing logs and barefoot river crossings feels like I’m gonna die and fighting his feels the whole way felt like a resistance workout for many of these miles but Nature boy is what I asked for ✨ we will get there 😅 by @tiffstaff
