For some, streamer season is just a few weeks away, while for others, it never begins because it never really ends. We tapped a few of our Sage Elite Pros for some wisdom on the streamer game. Check the link in our bio or head to the Sage Blog to read more.

For guys like Ryan Nixon, Matt Chatani and Alex Lafkas, sending streamers isn't a fun diversion, it's fundamental to their guide program—and they're pretty good at it.

While their Canadian, Rocky Mountain and Midwest waters may differ, you'll find a common thread: patience and POWER R8.

Solid performance from the Sage 9wt R8 power with Enforcer reel! Skwala Sol hoody felt like silk and dried seconds.

Char are such a cool fish , stunningly beautiful and pull really hard . This was my first time fishing for this species and was blown away at the power of these fish. I was fishing a 10’ 7wt R8 core with the new Shift LT reel , I was really impressed at the stopping power of the Shift LT. Super smooth drag and incredibly light to cast all day. It matches up really well with R8 Core , the Classic R8 and the Arrow. This is a great go to reel to do everything well, smooth and with one little turn to increase drag I was never worried I was going to break off because it’s so responsive.

Having the right gear makes a huge difference in this game! Loved @skwalafishing Sol collection and of course Sage has treated me well for 20 years!

6 wt R8 Power throws streamers so well im even more addicted to it. Balanced nice with the Shift LT and I like using a slow sink intermediate line. Cant say enough about this new rod/reel combo 🙌🏽
