Yesterday we had a mega tarpon probably close to 200lbs eat on a trout flat and run us straight into the bushes like a giant snook. Mike was actually able to palm the spool and pull the tarpon out of the mangroves! The tarpon then beached itself in about 2 ft of water so I hoped in grabbed leader and she took off making a 100yd run. These fish are incredible.

There isn’t to many inshore fish that will thump your line like a big snook. Had an awesome summer landing some of these giants with clients.

This grouper was caught in 3ft of water 👀

Broke a 40” off early then made up for it going 2/2 for on tarpon! Crazy it’s easier to land a tarpon than a big snook. Those fish are just built different.
