🎬 Last Saturday, director @sharon.kleinberg and producer @tiktinjaime took the stage at the #AFILatinFilm Festival after the screening of SOY MARIO (I AM MARIO), the story of a 40-year-old trans taxi driver whose unexpected pregnancy could make his dream of fatherhood come true.

A portrait of identity, bodily autonomy, masculinity, and the longing to form a family, SOY MARIO has earned Kleinberg recognition as an exciting and strong voice in Mexican cinema. This intimate debut won the Maguey Jury Award for Best LGBTQIA+ Film, and Oustin de León took home the Mezcal Award for Best Actor, both at the last edition of the Guadalajara International Film Festival. Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation!

Remember, the festival continues through October 7. Full line-up and info: https://afi.com/Silver/LAFF taken in AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center by @tiktinjaime
