The grieving choir est une recherche débutée à la @citedesartsparis début 2025. Elle a pris une première forme à l’occasion de l’invitation de @yvannoe à @poush pour “Obstinées” une expérience performative de 8 heures.

The grieving choir est l’expression collective d’une longue plainte portée par trois femmes. En faisant alliance avec un répertoire de lamentations, elles entrent ensemble dans une improvisation vocale de 8 heures en forme de boucle. Elles cherchent à contacter, manifester et transformer des douleurs et des peurs inscrites dans les profondeurs de leurs corps, et à célébrer la puissance réparatrice de la voix.

« Chères voix idéales de ceux qui sont morts, ou de ceux qui pour nous sont perdus comme des morts.
Quelquefois, elles parlent dans nos rêves. Quelquefois, du fond de ses pensées, notre esprit les entend.
Elles nous apportent un instant l’écho de la primordiale poésie de notre vie, comme dans la nuit une lointaine musique qui s’en va… »

HORSE PILL au Musée d’Art Contemporain du Luxembourg @mudamlux 50min, 2023

HORSE PILL est une performance qui travaille avec l’histoire de l’exploitation de la vie non-humaine en déjouant les codes visuels des films Western et les mythes que ce genre a popularisé en Occident. Se déployant sur une scénographie réalisée à partir de fourrures d’animaux recyclées, la performance détourne ces récits liés à des territoires chevauchés, pollués, mis en propriété, et exploités. Inversant les rôles, les échelles, et les points de vue entre cowboy et cheval, HORSE PILL crée un monde peuplé d’animaux fantomatiques, hantant les décombres d’une nature sous l’emprise des humain·e·s. La performance propose, non sans ironie, une horse pill - un « remède de cheval » métaphorique à cette violence écocide.

It was a pleasure to craft this short 20 min performance and dive back into the writings of the late Derrida and Mark Fisher, which I encountered when I was a student at Vassar College in the early 2010s…

Dans le cadre de l’exposition “Demeure”, POUSH et le @campuscondorcet seront ravis de vous accueillir pour le Symposium “Demeuré.es Vivant.es” le 27 octobre.
Nouvelles pratiques funéraires, rites de deuil et interdépendances : une journée pour imaginer d’autres manières d’habiter la relation entre les vivants et les morts.

Les intervenant.e.s, issu.es de milieux académiques, militants et associatifs nous éclaireront quant aux manières de replacer le corps des défunt.es à l’intérieur d’un écosystème auquel il participe, sur un plan organique et biologique, mais aussi politique et social.

Just a snippet of the summer. Thanks to the friends who helped with insolation of the art studio. It’s a blessing to work on such beautiful land with friends and family.
Many more steps are to come, it happens little by little since my sisters and I are not full time construction workers, but it’s nice to see the construction evolve with the seasons and Im very grateful for all the technics learned in the process. 🧙🏻‍♀️

Next steps in December.

Hortus conclusus, from the Song of Songs, Mozarabe score retrieved from the Toledo manuscripts by Marcel Perès.

Recorded in my hometown church in Brittany.

Hortus conclusus, the enclosed garden, a core figura of medieval imagery often depicted from a male perspective, also became a language for visionary women such as Gertrude the great or Hildegard Von Bingen through which female experience of spirituality and female knowledge of plants and healing could be articulated.

I was thinking as I was taught this chant of how the enclosed garden is a rich symbol to interrogate, from an ecofeminist perspective, the concept of sanctuaries in a context of biodiversity loss. Someone should write a paper on that subject! I wish I could but I need to write my PhD 😱
