GOLD COAST MARA !!

Offical time: 3:29:42

Still trying to process this one. 🄹

3:29:42 — and I couldn’t be happier with that time.

Considering I ran Noosa just 5 weeks ago, then spent the next 3 weeks sick, I only had 2 weeks of proper training leading into this marathon. To still take 5 minutes and 42 seconds off my PB honestly feels crazy.

The race started exactly how I’d hoped. I felt strong, controlled, and was right on pace for around a 3:27 finish. Then, with about 6km to go, both of my calves cramped badly. I had to stop multiple times to stretch them, and for the last 4km I was skipping and hopping just to keep moving forward. At that point, it became less about chasing pace and more about getting to the finish line as fast as I could despite what my body was throwing at me.

To still cross the line in under 3:30 is something I’m incredibly proud of.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. This one definitely wasn’t easy, but it made the finish line even sweeter.

For now, it’s time to put the feet up, recover, and soak it all in.

A huge thank you to everyone for all the love and support it means a lot, and definitely couldn’t have done it without you!!

Keen to see what I can do with a proper marathon block behind me but sub-3:20 is what I’m chasing next!!

Some of the things I fear no one talks about or prepares you for when doing the sport you do

- The pressure you put on yourself without anyone asking you to

The hardest expectations are often the ones we create ourselves. We set the highest standards and place pressure on ourselves that nobody else asked for, constantly chasing more while rarely feeling like we’ve done enough.

- Trying to balance training with everyday life

Chasing big goals while still showing up for everyday responsibilities isn’t always easy. Learning how to give your sport your best while still showing up for the other important areas of life is one of the most challenging skills an athlete can develop.

- Surrounding myself with like-minded people

The right people don’t just support your goals - they understand them, help you achieve them and in turn you help achieve their goals too🄰

- How isolating discipline can become

Discipline is often celebrated, but it can sometimes feel lonely. Saying no to social events, sticking to routines, and prioritising recovery over spontaneity can create distance between you and those who don’t share the same goals. The challenge is finding balance without losing sight of why you started

- How difficult it is to truly feel satisfied with yourself

For a moment, you’re proud of what you’ve achieved. Then the questions start creeping in: Could I have pushed harder? What if I paced it differently? What if I gave a little more? The satisfaction fades, doubt starts to creep in, and your focus shifts from what you achieved to what could have been. As an athlete, sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t chasing the next goal, it’s allowing yourself to be proud of the one you just achievedšŸ•ŗšŸ»

NOOSA MARATHON
MY FIRST EVER MARATHON!!

Chip time: 3:35:24
6th in age group

Feels so surreal to say I’ve run a marathon but wow that was so much fun!!

Quick turn around after brissy hyrox and did as much as I could to prep for this. QLD heat is no joke so tried following the plan as much as I could on the day and came away with the time I was wanting so I’m super stoked!!

Huge thank you to everyone for all the love and support, and a huge thank you to @mollie_fkiaras for getting me prepped and ready to go

A lot learned and a lot more to learn !!

Sub 3:30 next? šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

Hyrox Brisbane 2026 - open solo offical time: 1:08:59 // 6th in age group

We did it!!! I got the sub 70!! And even better got sub 1:09 šŸ˜†

7 weeks of consistent prep and I’m proud of this one.
Ran it with the worst stomach ache and felt absolutely shocking, but managed to hold on and pull through with a time I’m stoked with.

Plenty learnt and a lot more room for growth

Huge thank you to everyone for all the support, I couldn’t have raced without you and a huge thank you to @jk.james.kelly for a solid training block. To @mollie_fkiaras for helping improve my running hugely, and a big thank you to @united.training.grounds for allowing me to use the awesome facilities
