Here is my bike cinematography showreel. And appreciation post.

Admittedly, it’s taken me forever to finally put together a showreel of my bike work. It’s tough. When you’re not pushing to a deadline, as you would on a client project, you could spend the rest of your life finessing and tweaking or waiting for that project that will add just a little bit more variety and professionalism. Or get around to that passion project that can really show what you can do. Because you always know you can do better. In the end you have to step back and appreciate what you have achieved and cherish those great shots you have pulled off. After all, filmmaking is a learning process that never ends. Your showreel will never be “finished”. But I am excited to improve on it in the coming years.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunities I have had, the great clients that I have worked for and colleagues I have worked with. Most of all, I am grateful for the supremely talented riders I have been able to work with over the years. I got into filming bike riders through a lifelong passion for mountain biking. Even from those days of admiring steaze merchants like Jason McRoy and John Tomac (before steaze was even a thing), I could tell that this was going to be big. So to see where the sport is today and to actually get to shoot with some of today’s most gifted individuals makes my inner 90’s 13 year old MTB dork so incredibly pumped! My job would not exist if it wasn’t for all you radical bike riders out there. So thank you.

Go check out the big show now!
I feel greatful to have been a part of this most excellent event. So much fun was had. From the initial scouting and documentary projects to the final big show. Meeting awesome people and humbled by mad skills and talent form riders to shooters, producers, directors and everyone involved. What a team! And what a great time.
Thanks to @sophieluther @ed__leigh_ & @allgoodproductionsnz for getting me involved from the very beginning of the beginning. And especially, @trinityludlowhudson for the generous recommendation ;)
Fantastic work by @naturalselectionbike team and @jeremy_grant_ and the rest of the camera crew. Let’s do it again next year!

The wait it over. Tonight all will be revealed. You’ll get to find out where the next location of this prestigious tour will be taking place in New Zealand! I am humbled to have been able to be a part of the making of this doco in search of the new @provinggroundstour venue in our neck of the woods. I am really pumped to see what this will become for our biking community here in the coming years. Great things for great people.

It was a pleasure to work with Conor on this one and was great to get stuck into a project looking a little deeper into bike culture and the lives of the social media stars we sometime don’t really know much about.
