If this isn’t a “Hozier yell” kind of moment, I don’t know what is!!

Watching Emily and Tim stand together on top of a remote Alaska glacier was one of those pinch-me moments I still can’t believe.

LOOK AT THEM!!! 🥹🤍

Exchanging vows at an alpine lake and then catching a helicopter to a remote glacier is, in fact, a real way you can get married in Alaska. AND I will happily support this decision with my whole entire heart!!!

But before we impulsively book flights, here are a few things to know if an Alaska elopement is living rent-free in your head:

🏔️ Alaska is HUGE.

The glaciers, coastlines, mountain valleys and cute towns you’ve saved may be hours apart. Choosing the right area matters more than squeezing every beautiful place into one day.

🚁 Helicopter adventures depend on the weather.

Alaska is going to do what Alaska wants, so flexibility is everything! We’ll build room into your timeline and create a backup plan that still feels exciting, not like the sad consolation-prize version of your wedding.

🥾 You don’t have to be an extreme hiker.

Helicopters, boats, scenic drives and accessible overlooks can bring you somewhere unreal without requiring a ten-mile hike in wedding clothes. A win for adventure lovers who also enjoy breathing!

🌦️ Prepare for several seasons in one day.

Layers, sturdy shoes and a willingness to embrace some wind or rain go a long way. Messy hair and a veil caught in the wind also photograph VERY well, just saying.

💍 Make it feel like your wedding, not just a photoshoot.

Bring the meaningful vows. Cut the cake. Read letters from family. Have a picnic, pop champagne or share your first dance on a glacier because why wouldn’t you?!

📍 You don’t need Alaska figured out before reaching out.

Come to me with “mountains, glacier, just us and PLEASE HELP,” and we’ll build the rest together.

file under: moments I wish I could live in forever

we drove over 2,000 miles exploring all over from seattle to denver over the last couple of weeks, and our wonderful friends @jacksonandjen were so kind to host us in colorado 🤍 we hiked, stayed up laughing til almost 3 AM, shared late night cocktails & daytime cider flights, Jen made the most incredible tiramisu we have ever tasted, and she captured these wonderful memories with us somewhere within the mix. thanking our great good fortune for friends that make you feel like you want time to stop - and so beyond blessed that they take time to make them into art.

A million thanks to @gracielaelenaphotography who planned this shoot from beginning to end and chose us to bring it to life with her.🥹 We are truly so appreciative for this community who has uplifted us, supported us, and continues to give us opportunities beyond what we ever could’ve imagined. The absolute privilege of getting to document our love story all over the world with some of the best creatives in the business is never (ever) lost on us. If you told us years ago that we’d see ourselves in print someday, we honestly would never have believed it.

My dream date … cute

Emily and Tim understood the assignment: create art.

Run through Central Park like you’re in a movie ✔️
Steal a rowboat ✔️
Dance around fountains ✔️
Kick off the shoes ✔️
Laugh through the entire session ✔️

Somewhere between the winding paths, the city skyline, and the last bit of evening light, it stopped feeling like a photoshoot and started feeling like an adventure.

These are the kinds of sessions I never want to end.
