Today marks the completion of a goal years in the making. Today I wrapped up my TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures certifications in the best way possible. We dove the USS Oriskany which lies 23 miles offshore of Pensacola Florida in 200’+ of water with the flight deck sitting at 150’.
.
We descended past the control tower (which starts at 85’) and down to the flight deck at 146’. From there we made our way to the channels that ran the steam catapults and up to the bow with a max depth of 156’. Great life and incredible 40-50’ visibility of blue water. Everything went to plan and I can now plan and execute dives with required decompression stops.

What a trip diving with @citizenwatchus and @wornandwound at the @windupwatchfair! The 80’s were alive and well as the boys of @ships.log descended upon Chicago to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Citizen Aqualand.
