is this the most beautiful autumn spot in the dolomites? 🍂

lago federa sits at 2,038m, surrounded by the peaks of croda da lago — and for a short time every autumn, the larches around the lake turn completely golden.

🍁 larch season: usually mid to late october, depending on the year and weather
🥾 getting there: from ponte de ru curto, it’s an easy 1.5h hike via trails 437 + 434
🏡 rifugio croda da lago: right next to the lake and the perfect stop for a drink or something to eat after the hike — just check the seasonal opening dates before you go
📍 lago federa, cortina d’ampezzo
