Who would’ve thought it. Today I officially started a PhD in English and Creative Writing. I took the long road — the route less trodden — and it took me years to believe I could reach heights I was always told were out of reach. But here we are. Keep chasing and keep believing, kids. In the end, you’ll realise you were right about yourself all along. Here we go…

Thought I’d give my most recent book a little poke. It’s a personal journey and has something for everyone. 15 years of fun and heartbreak penned across the pages. I’d love you to take a 👀 inside. 🙏🏼. And while you’re here, do listen to the accompanying music. It’s by India Bourne (you may know her from her days with Ben Howard). This song is beautiful, raw, heart tugging, windsweeping, wave crashing, sun rising, moon lighting, and all the other metaphors that come to mind when listening to it. Seek it and be engulfed by its tragedy and beauty. Oh - and please do buy my book.

I have always found it a struggle to find books that I relate to. Words that speak to me. So when you find them, you gotta buy ‘em, and luckily enough they all come from the same great publisher @conduitbooks Thanks for the speedy delivery. Can’t wait to get stuck in!!

On the 24th of August, me and my best friend, Chrissie, finally got married. We’ve been together for 35 years, though it could be a little longer, or a little less: time has a habit of blurring the lines. Thank you to everyone who made it such a special day and thank you to my new boss and wife - Chrissie.

Ruth Osborne was the last person to be publicly accused of witchcraft in England. This is her story. It will enlighten you, frighten you, horrify you, and leave you with many questions. But these were different times… You can buy the book but scanning the QR code or link in bio.

Who’s old enough to remember The Word. This was me, giving it large as the end credits rolled. I remember being told that if the camera came your way - dance as if your life depended on it. Fun times. I do remember feeling a bit hard done by, as a week or two before we went Nirvana were live in the Word studio making their first UK appearance. The week after, Oasis were playing live in the studio with their first ever live tv performance. And what did I get - fucking Rolf Harris playing a rave tune on his didgeridoo. Probably went raving after 💅🏼

I have given all three of my books a mid-summer dust down and permanent price reduction. Don’t ask me why - I just felt like it. Thanks for looking 👀.
And Idlewild were a great band 🎶. Did I see them play at the Electric Ballroom? 🤔 I think I did.
