Jiu Jitsu World Masters 2023🥋🥇🌎

Happy and proud to bring this back home!! It’s been a hell of a journey and I wouldn’t have it any other way!! ✨This year had to be the one, and I stepped on the mats each time, thinking “this is yours!! No one will take it away from you!” I imagined myself standing on that podium, my phone home screen was an image of a World gold Medal I found on google… I wanted to see it like it already happened and I am beyond happy it did!!! 🤗✨
So many people I owe this win to!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who contributed to my fundraiser @mycause.com.au , this would have never been possible without you!!! 🙏🏽 Thank you to my team and coach Adam @vantagejiujitsu for believing in me since day one!! Thank you 🥋@covertcombat for dressing me with the best Gi’s!! Thank you to my tribe @junglebotany you guys feed my heart and soul every day!! Thank you @academyfoureleven for helping me get extra sessions in leading up to this!!

This trip was so special thanks to @jess_ng11 and @adrianhart_93 , a massive thank you guys for loosing your voice on the mats for me!!!❤️ Also thank you to @atosjiujitsuhq for welcoming us to finish our camp, we had the best time and made friends!! 🤗
And last but not the least, thank you to my love @pedrasse for supporting me always, you believed I could do it, you helped me prepare, massaged my arms between matches, and cried when I won just like it was you! This was our win! ❤️

🔥 BIG NEWS! 🔥

Now it’s official… Coach Dori Duncan is joining the Battle Society coaching team. 🖤

Dori is a world-ranked Muay Thai fighter, has competed on RWS, and is without a doubt one of Australia’s top Muay Thai athletes.🔥

But what we admire most isn’t just what she’s achieved in the ring… it’s what she’s done for the sport outside of it.

Dori has spent years helping grow the female Muay Thai community, mentoring athletes, creating opportunities, and inspiring more women to step onto the mats. Her passion for the sport is something we’re incredibly proud to have at The Battle Society.🥹

Starting this Thursday, Dori will be leading our Drills & Technical Sparring class.

Let me reintroduce myself.

I’m Tima, a coach of 8+ years, lifelong athlete, and someone who truly believes strength changes everything physically, mentally, and emotionally!✨

I’ve worked in the corporate world, managed gyms, and now own my own gym in Sydney. It’s the first female-only Muay Thai gym in the city 🥊, and one of the only functional training spaces specialising in kettlebell strength ⚙️

I’ve trained in martial arts for over a decade, Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I’ve competed across all these disciplines, including winning Gold at BJJ Worlds Masters in 2023🏆.

I’m also the founder of @befierceretreats ✈️ women’s retreats in Australia, Thailand and Morocco, focused on combat sports, confidence, connection, and feeling strong while travelling.🔥

As a coach, I care deeply. I don’t cut corners or sell shortcuts. I don’t ask anything of my clients that I wouldn’t ask of myself! I’ll meet you where you’re at, but I’ll also push you, stand beside you, and believe in you until you believe in yourself.💕
