Big love to our sis Kate @stroud_de_signs !!
💫 July 2022, only months after the big F & navigating how we’d all make another step forward from whatever predicament that event delivered us all…. Over a few days when the ground & building was still dry with mud (more as a result of the 2nd late March flood that we had abandoned the clean up of), uncle Hugo came up from Sydney to help us re-paint inside and Mel was out back re-planting the garden walls, we watched on while Kate transformed this brick wall to a burst of colour & a collective calling ::
✊ Decolonize Your Mind remains a powerful reminder on the steps/choices we make daily, to an understanding of where we’ve come from ~ to where we go now.

A stunning collection of photographs & stories of women coffee farmers in Colombia by @luciabawot

Sharing this book with you is an extension of our commitment to give visibility to women in coffee, an invitation to understand the diversity & challenges of lived experiences for the many women behind a cup.

This October we are participating in @sana_programs Give Back donation drive supporting their work in Colombia through every 250g bag of our blends purchased. The program was founded by the book’s author Lucia who believes mental health as central to achieving gender equity.

Cavanbah (Byron Bay) is joining the Global Day for Gaza and worldwide Actions on SUNDAY 11th OCTOBER at 10am at APEX PARK
(Main Beach) BYRON BAY.

Following THREE harrowing years of Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people, and complete inaction from the Australian Government, we rally together to demand an end to Australia’s complicity.

Australia is STILL supplying F-35 parts to the lOF and it has also been revealed two government-owned factories (one in Mulwala NSW and one in Benalla Victoria) have been manufacturing raw explosives to them also. On top of that, our govt invests our money through the Future Fund directly to Palantir, a US surveillance, data collection and Al weaponry company that has been instrumental in the genocide in Gaza.

So, effectively our govt has made it that each and every one of us are indirectly funding genocide.
This is why every one of our voices matters and if we dont use that voice to tell the govt how we want to be represented in action and investment - how will they know?

Rallys and protests are one of the best ways to tell the govt your opinion on things. They are watching them closely to know where the public stands.

Please join our local rally and the rallys all around Australia and the world on the 11th.

Co-hosted with The Greens, House You and Climate Justice Alliance. Human rights and ecological rights are one struggle. Palestinian liberation sits at the axis of it all.

This rally is held on the lands of the Arakwal people of the Bundjalung Nation, sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our ongoing respect to their elders past, present.

Share this event with your community groups, families and friends, and let’s come together to make our demands and our support for the Palestinian people heard.

3 years of Genocide is 3 years too many and if we say we are a ‘civilised people’ we stop it, together!

Happy International Coffee Day 🤎
This month we are extending our support to women in coffee via the incredible @sana_programs .
2026 is also the Year of the Woman Farmer. Women remain a significant proportion of the labour force behind the world’s agriculture (including coffee!) and households, yet hold significantly less proportion of power & resources that impact quality of life. If our health is our wealth, we consider supporting women’s health as a fundamental effort toward the health of our global food systems & communities. By supporting efforts like this amongst our networks we hope to contribute in reducing systemic inequalities and give visibility to the role women play in our value chain ☕️

Both Cornerstone & La Selva blends have been produced thanks to the work of Colombian coffee farmers.
