Wrote this with some fellas last year, @thadwood @drums.chriswang. To me it was just being reminded that God notices and cares for us all individually. A couple years ago, a few of us dads decided to meet monthly to help our boys grow up and go from Boyz II Men. As you can tell, it is a miserable time for us dads. You can really see that clearly by the 3rd picture.

Life is definitely better with other people. So is fathering!

TBH I kinda discouraged it because I thought it may be too ambitious. But that didn’t stop Jackson from building his own guitar 🤯. Like literally cutting out the wood and such. Not just a kit to assemble.
He has shown over and over just how handy he is. He did such a great job! I guess I can overlook him wearing crocks atleast for this week… by @timbrummel

*Back To the Garden*
Wrote it last year with my friend @bensfiveandtwo . I feel like the last several years have been a journey of unlearning or relearning some things. You know what adults are bad at? Being kids. You know what makes faith and life easier? Being like a kid.

Now there is a clear difference between childish and child like. The latter is what Jesus calls us too. As parents we see this first hand in our kids. Running wild, carefree, in the moment, full of trust… As we grow up we start to pick up things that we were never meant to carry.

Man, I sure like to carry heavy things to try and prove something. That’s where we get phrases like “carrying the weight of the world on my back”, we aren’t made to carry that kind of load. You may need that reminder as well. Maybe that stress is OVERwhelming about _____ because it is literally OVER what you are capable of carrying. We cast our cares on Him because He is actually capable of carrying it. 1 Peter 5:7
