About a century ago, during an era famous for ridiculous concentrations of wealth, the fortunes of America’s richest people represented a substantially smaller share of the economy than today’s biggest fortunes.

One modern comparison puts the 15 richest Americans in 1918 at wealth equal to a little over 4% of GDP.

Adjust for America’s population growth, and today’s comparison is the richest 15.

Their wealth? Fluctuating between 10-14% of GDP.

And by the end of 2025, America’s 15 centi-billionaires collectively held roughly $3.2 TRILLION.

Bruh. 😂

If this isn’t the new Gilded Age, then I don’t know what is 🤷🏽‍♂️

Now, I’m not mad at anybody for becoming wealthy.** I want YOU to become wealthy!**

What bothers me is watching extraordinary amounts of wealth pile up at the very top while working-class people are wondering whether their paycheck can survive groceries, housing, insurance and one unexpected bill.

“Squeezing every dime out of you.” Just when you thought medical bills couldn’t get any more ridiculous, let me introduce you to something called “upcoding.”

Here’s how fraudulent upcoding works:

You receive one level of medical care, but the paperwork makes your condition or service look more serious, complicated, or expensive than it actually was.

Why?

Because the higher billing code can mean MORE MONEY.

HHS actually identifies upcoding as a common type of false claim when a provider uses codes reflecting a more severe illness or more expensive treatment than what actually existed or was provided. (OIG HHS⁠)

Seriously?

You’re already paying insurance premiums, deductibles, copays, prescriptions and bills that look like somebody accidentally added a zero.

And now somebody may try to squeeze even MORE money out of your illness?** You might as well call that ‘the stethoscope of greed.’**

And you wonder why I keep preaching about creating additional income?

Look, I can’t control what a hospital charges you, nor can I control inflation.

And I DEFINITELY can’t control whether we’re living through a booming economy, recession, or something as ugly as another Great Depression.

“It’s YOUR fault, Boomers. Not theirs.” Okay, obviously I’m not talking about every Boomer

I’m talking about the ones constantly telling younger people:

“Your generation just doesn’t want to work!”

Excuse me?

You’ve got people working a full-time job, driving Uber afterward, DoorDashing on weekends, AND still wondering how they’re going to pay rent.

And you’re calling them lazy?

Some of y’all came up in an economy where, compared with today, you could dang-near buy a house for $2 and a Pop-Tart! 😂

Now younger adults are staring at housing costs that have grown faster than incomes, groceries that require a financial strategy meeting and paychecks that seem to evaporate before they clear the bank.

Then somebody who bought their first house decades ago wants to walk into the room and yell:

“WORK HARDER!”

Bruh. They’re already working. The problem isn’t always effort.** Sometimes the economic math just sucks.**

And this is exactly why I keep talking to working-class people about creating additional income.

Not because I think you need a fourth freakin’ job.

I want to teach you how to hustle smarter, build something you control, and increase what comes into your household.

Because whether we’re dealing with inflation, a recession or even something as ugly as another Great Depression, I want you developing the ability to CREATE income instead of waiting for one employer to decide what your labor is worth.

“When did doing something so vile become a virtue?” Because this female in the video is wildin’ regarding the #LindsayClancy mistrial, and I genuinely have a question:

Have females in this country completely lost the plot?

Three children, unalived. Cora. Dawson. Callan.

Yet I’ve watched people become so emotionally invested in defending Lindsay that sometimes you’d think she was the primary victim in this tragedy.

And that’s where you lose me.

We can have a serious conversation about postpartum psychosis. We can advocate for better maternal mental-health treatment.

We can discuss criminal responsibility, medications, psychiatric care and whether somebody understood right from wrong.

ALL of those conversations are legitimate.

But when did compassion for someone’s mental illness require turning the person who unalived three children into some kind of symbol of virtue?

Those are two completely different things.

And some of the reactions after this mistrial have made me wonder whether certain people have become so committed to defending Lindsay that they’ve forgotten Cora, Dawson and Callan were the ones whose lives were taken.

Mental illness deserves compassion. Females struggling after childbirth should get some help. But children deserve something, too.

They deserve not to disappear from their own story.

And if acknowledging that makes somebody angry with me, then maybe that’s exactly the conversation we need to have.

Because you can advocate for females’ mental health without romanticizing what happened to three innocent children.

Those ideas should NEVER have become mutually exclusive.
