I had this frame in my mind even before I captured it — the volcano rising through a sea of clouds, with nothing but its peak visible above them. 🌋☁️

We were staying quite close to this volcanic mountain, and for the first two days, I kept hoping the conditions would come together.

They didn’t.

Then came our last morning.

Ironically, it was the one morning I didn’t wake up early — something I almost always do when I’m travelling for photography.

@vshedge09 came to me and said, “Look at those clouds.”

One look outside… and I knew.

I grabbed all my gear, rushed to set up the camera and started the timelapse.

And there it was.

The clouds slowly wrapped around the mountain while its peak stood above them — almost exactly the frame I had been carrying in my head.

Two days of waiting.

And on the very morning we were leaving, nature finally gave me the shot.

Sometimes you plan a frame. Sometimes you wait for it. And sometimes… it arrives just before you have to leave. 🌋☁️🎥

Would you run a 3-axis timelapse rig inside your car for 4.5 hours just for this shot? 🌌

That’s exactly what I did at Sarchu.

With freezing temperatures and strong winds outside, setting up the motion-control slider in the open wasn’t exactly inviting. So I found another way.

Slider inside the car.
Camera pointing straight up.
Sunroof wide open.
Milky Way overhead.
And 4.5 hours of patience.

The result? This. ✨

This waterfall looks like it came from another world.

Tumpak Sewu means "A Thousand Waterfalls" — and when you see it, you’ll know why. It’s one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Indonesia, with water flowing down like silver curtains from every side. 🌧️✨

Surrounded by jungle and cliffs, this place feels peaceful, powerful, and full of wonder.

Where the sky falls to the earth… and time stands still.

Madakaripura Waterfall in Indonesia is 200 meters tall and hidden deep in the jungle. It feels like walking into a secret place where nature is alive.

The water falls from very high cliffs, the mist touches your skin, and the sound is so peaceful.
It’s not just a waterfall—it feels magical. 💧✨
