The Bandit needed to give his Bandit a tune-up. I just spotted this ‘78 Trans Am SE at a local repair shop while running an errand this morning. The way to tell the difference between a ‘77 from a ‘78, on the outside, is the pattern in the grille; the ‘77 had a honeycomb grille pattern, and ‘78 had the horizontal pattern you see here. They are interchangeable between the two years, of course. It’s also an early ‘78, with the Hurst Hatch T-tops vs the late ‘78+ Fisher larger roof panels. Assuming the wheels are original to the car, it seems to not have the WS6 option, however. It was a very nice driver condition example, and definitely took me by surprise! by @timelessmusclecar

@irocz is getting us nostalgic for the late ‘90s and early ‘00s with these new reproduction taillights for the ‘98-02 Firebird and Trans Am. They look like exact replicas of the OEM housings, but there are a few subtle tweaks that separates them from factory — that he explains in a video at GM-EFI.com by @timelessmusclecar
